All Alex got was silence Alex sighed and moved closer He removed the oxygen machine and Skylar shot her eyes open Stacy widen her eyes in surprise Skylar gasp for air She still can't breath on her own She tried to raise her hands but failed Her eyes became teary as she continue gasping She plead with Alex with her eyes Alex knew what her gaze means but he sneer and watch her struggle to breath Skylar was becoming afraid she was losing her breath and her vision was becoming blurry every passing seconds. Skylar tried to open her mouth to shout but all came out was silence

She shrugged, “You got the body.” She remarked, “It would be an extra gift that’ll keep his jaw on the ground.” Her brow moved up, “Add some strawberries and wine. I think I’d do ya too.” Her words weren’t wrong… I smiled at her until I heard my phone ring. I sighed, looking down at the phone. More work. I pulled it up, seeing it was my manager. I put it to my ear, “Hello? Oliver, what’s up?”

I mumbled, piling food onto my plate, trying to act casual under his heavy stare. "The what?" Liam asked, leaning in, his brows knitting. I shoved a big bite into my mouth, chewing slowly to buy time. "Silverbloom leaf," I repeated, forcing down the chewy bread, the meal hitting my empty stomach like a brick. "It's the only thing that can cure the plague. We need to move fast, or we're all screwed."
