The Healer's Bond
Around her, dozens of creatures moved.
Undead. But not like the slow, rotting corpses from before. These were fast. Agile. Some still bore the armor of ancient warriors, their eyes empty sockets glowing blue. Others were stitched together from different bodies, their limbs jerky and unnatural. A few had wings—not feathered, but leathery, batlike, flapping in sync with Terra's breath.
"Well, well," Terra said with a mocking pout. "You made it quite far, Emma."
Emma stepped forward, shoulders squared. Her voice was steady. "This ends tonight," She said. "So give me all you got."
