Slowly, I stood and peered into the shadows. A small figure emerged with an air that felt familiar. A young healer, judging by the herbs tied to their belt and the soft glow of salves in their satchel. They froze mid-step, as surprised to see me as I was to see them. “Uh… hello?” the healer asked cautiously. “You’re… new here?” “I am,” I said, lowering my hands. “I mean, not new, but… returning. I’m Lana.” Their eyes widened slightly at the name. “You’re the Luna? The one who returned with Alpha Warren?”

Rodora preached to her as they left the conference hall. Lana sighed. "I'm just tired, Rodge," she reasoned yet somehow it was true. “Of course, we'll just be there for a while. We can't stay long because the meeting is early tomorrow,” said Lerma, who holds Region Five. That was when Lana sighed again. "O-Okay, it's like I still have a choice," she said laughing. Lana just made dressing up easy. She wore a red dress that was a little above her knee-length. She paired it with simple red doll shoes.

“You've no idea how low I am willing to go to protect the Castellan family from people like you.” Lana rolled her eyes, flipped her hair like a hair model, then sat on the chair. She picks up her magazine, completely ignoring Mira. Her indifference made Mira's blood boil. “You've two days to leave this house.” “Or what?” Lana laughed. She turned to Mira, licked two fingers seductively, then flipped to the next page of the magazine. “Or they might not even find your body.” Lana gasped, placing a hand on her chest, dramatically. “Oh, my goodness. Please don't.” She pushed her chest front a little, moving a hand from her chest to in between her legs. “This body is just too sexy to go to waste.”

“There’s Tom. Call him over.” I glanced towards where Jack was pointing and saw the man. He was a short, potbellied man in his fifties with quickly receding hairlines. I thought he looked nothing like a doctor, but what did I know? Jack knew better, and I trusted him. I’m lucky to have her as my maid.” Lana’s kindness made me cry again. “There's no need for tears, dear. Everything will be just fine,” Lana said as she put an arm around my shoulders and led me up a wide double staircase to her bedroom. “Sit at my vanity table, and I’ll call for Sara.” Lana pressed a button on the wall. “Your gown is lovely, but I thought you were going to wear your mother’s gown.”

He would sit here, in this empty room, and wait for death to come claim him. Just then, the heavy oak doors burst open, and a young woman with a shock of brown hair rushed in. Her blue eyes, wide with panic, were framed by a pair of glasses, which of course was a rare sight among their kind. She was slender and small like a delicate flower in the midst of a storm, and for a moment, her face reminded him of Cassie. It was Lana, the daughter of Alpha Killian, who had been sent as a gesture of peace.

Lana smiled and shook her head, "No, sir. I wouldn't want to be a burden to you. I will spend the night, but I think I'm still okay here." Stanley wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. "Lana, didn't you miss me at all?" Lana looked down, but Stanley held her chin and said, "Look at me. I've always said you should look me in the eye whenever I talk to you. Didn't you miss me? I waited for you to say even once that you miss me, but I didn't hear it." Lana said, "Well, sir, I'm not in a position to say such things to you. I'm aware of our arrangements, and my job is to please you. I have no rights."
