Yeah, the night was a mess. Smoke everywhere, thick enough to choke on, and that tension? You could slice it with a claw. In the middle of it all, this bonfire kept spitting shadows up the trees, lighting up a bunch of rough-looking wolves—rogues, the lot of them. These weren’t your storybook heroes or noble pack members. Nah, these were the leftovers, the ones who’d spent most of their lives dodging trouble or scrapping for a scrap of territory no one else wanted.

[Friends] AMBERSKY PACK Multiple grenades exploded at the borders surrounding the pack house, spraying silver nitrate in the air. More howls of pain rang out as the hunters used this unfair advantage to move in on the wolves guarding their posts. One by one, the wolves fell, their plaintive cries echoing in the early morning air. The other wolves scattered in all directions, trying to escape the searing pain that was consuming them. Smoke rose from their fur as they ran, and the acrid smell of burning flesh permeated the air.

This time I flew to Russia to check on how the clan of gray and white wolves is doing. Once upon a time, the latter were quite numerous and more developed than the former, but during a fire twenty years ago, almost half of the population died in a flock of whites, including the alpha and his family. It came as a big shock to everyone. No one really could tell anything about what happened, and how it happened. The official version spoke of an accident with fireworks during the holiday, which caused several houses to catch fire at once. The fire was not extinguished in time. The panic began.

It also helps that we're especially known for having white, fluffy fur coats in our wolf form that protect us from the worst of the winds, compared to our other shifter neighbors. I follow reluctantly behind Becca as we enter the Beanery, my mood dwindling with each step we get closer to the worst

It made me think about how many could be walking around right now and I couldn’t accurately tell. “It would be nice to be able to know what types of creatures are in the area,” I think out loud. Alec looks glazed over for a minute then looks back at me with a smirk. “There are 4 wolves nearby, 1 light witch who’s not very powerful, and 2 bears.” It takes a minute for me to regain my composure before I can respond. “You motherfucker! Are you kidding me right now? Can you really tell that information? What, do you smell them or something?”

Another roar rumbled the Earth but this time it was not what sucked the life out of me. The men in front of my eyes had turned into monsters. Unnatural and terrifying big wolves. Not wolves... these wolves stood up like humans. "Oh, my Lord! Make it a delusion." I mumbled as my wits left me. The monster-cum-Jordan eyes fell on me when I tried to make an attempt at life. He snatched me up by the waist in his claws. "God, let it be a dream! Please!" I took a breath in to shout my heart out as my last ditch effort before death when another scream breached the cruel forest.

the beta says, looking at the two boys who are looking at me like I grew another head. "Remember when we said there's two grey wolves and one white one?" alpha Aiden asks. "Yes, alpha," River answer him, he's much bigger, he's almost the size of an adult wolf while I stayed my small self. "White wolves are special wolves, only six of them exist, do you know why they are super important to the pack?" alpha Rowan explains. "They are omegas? Well, what's left of them," River says, and the beta nods proudly, he must have explained that to them during the classes.

She stood still, trying to resist the force but it overwhelmed her and forced her to the ground. "Arrrhh!" She roared as she changed into a Witch-Wolf, as huge as a bear. She jumped around with force, sniffing around her. Some men were sitting at a corner, drinking from some bottles on the floor. They were speaking gibberish as they nodded their head from left to right in rhythm to music playing from a Small stereo. "What is that thing by the corner of the road?" One of them asked with squinting eyes, pointing at a creature by the road.

"We don't want humans aware of our existence. I already told you nobody wants to kill you." She relaxed a little. "How do you do that with your voice?" "I am the Alpha, leader of the pack, your new leader," he said. "There is a hierarchy around here." "So I have to listen to whatever you say?" "You still have free will if that's what you're asking. But wolves automatically respect their Alpha. It's natural to follow a leader." "Do we change into wolves on the full moon? Will silver bullets kill us?"

Emily whispered, her heart racing as she watched. On the field, three wolves fought fiercely. Elvie and Amelia were both dark brown wolves, sleek and powerful, while Natalie transformed into a lighter brown wolf. Blood stained the ground, shocking everyone who had gathered to watch. Marriott gasped, her eyes wide. "Why are they in blood? This was supposed to be a friendly match!" "They're fighting over Tom," Emily muttered, her gaze fixed on the scene below. "Natalie told them he's single now. She's trying to eliminate anyone who could be a threat to her."
