Rex frowned. “Is he serious, Kit? I should kick your ass to remind you of who I am?” Came a voice from behind him. “Rixa! Forgive me.” Rex bowed out of respect eyes on the ground. Hearing the group of them laughing, Rex looked up, not amused, but smiled nonetheless. “Your help will be needed. Makai and Damien were the last to see the wolves before a red smoke amplified the shimmer they transported with making it impossible to know where they went to. We have a basic direction, and Damien’s scouts to lead a search party.” Rex said.

There was a tale passed through generations, reaching the 21st Century, about a group of werewolves’ special mutation that brings out dormant abilities from a family’s genetic line. They were said to be marked and blessed by the moon goddess for they were the first of her followers. They were given the title of Legacy Wolves, keeping up their tradition and passing on their special traits through their children.

’ I tried to calm Smoke down. After several days of research, we discovered a risky but necessary solution to tame Smoke which is the use of Wolfsbane. Wolfsbane is dangerous to wolves, it is capable of weakening wolf’s sense and strength. Wolfbane is the only solution to keep Smoke subdued. Without wasting time, I began injecting small doses of wolfbane into my system. I sometimes I add it to my water and drink while Smoke became weak. Every dose of wolf’s bane in my system made him weaker and I have total control over my action.

But the smoke creature was moving toward the door again, and Jax was on the other side of it. I stepped forward and put both hands into the smoke. The cold of it hit me first, a cold that went past skin and into something deeper. And then my wolf came up without warning, not the slow reluctant response I had expected but a full surge, a snarl that I felt in my teeth and my chest and my hands simultaneously. Takoda is always the reasonable one. I nod, looking down at him.
