POV: Ash Ryder "Burn it down, Blaze! If the ice won’t melt, we’ll crack the world beneath it!" Ash’s voice was a jagged blade of desperation, cutting through the unnatural howl of the Frozen Wastes. He stood before the towering obsidian-black ice of the border wall, his fists already bloodied from uselessly hammering against the surface. His golden eyes were no longer those of a calculated leader; they were the eyes of a man watching his soul vanish behind a curtain of shadow.

ASHINA’S POV Snow began to fall gently from the slate-gray sky, dusting the earth in white. Winter had arrived not with a roar, but with a quiet, creeping breath that numbed the land. The trees stood bare and black, their skeletal branches reaching out like mourning hands, and the air was so still that even the crows had gone silent. I stood at the tribal border, a thin line in the wilderness where so much blood had been spilled.

Ashlyn mumbled into nobody and when she collected her peace into one core. ‘Be the ocean of Ice.’ Ashlyn recalled what Vladimir told her and when she think about the ocean of ice, she thought about snow but instead of the fluffiness of it, it has to be hard to break or even to melt. Everything around the woods seems to drop and stops then when she opened her eyes, everything turned cold and frozen. Things were indeed covered with ice. But some fallen rogues were being hit by her wolf’s magical power, the fight still went on but a shout caught the attention of Ahslyn.

And yet instead of being comforted, coldness crept up and down her body. She shook her head and opened the paper bag. Her hand raised a black bonnet, in which she placed on her head until only a pair of cold blue eyes gleamed under the moon. She picked a lighter out from her pocket and lit the the paper bag on fire. A plastic scent filled her nose, but it was quickly replaced by the smell of smoke and the scattered ashes. She blew on the lighter, and the flame went out, then she looked back up to the sky and glared.

The wind howled over the mountains, a choir of whispers hurtling over the drifts of snow. Inside the solitary lodge, a fire spat into flame in the hearth, sending dancing shadows up the stone walls. Natalie Evans leaned at the tall window, her arms tight around herself as she looked out at the swirling snow outside. Her shadow was tranquil, but in her eyes glowed a flame that would never be doused. The silence was at an end.

"Madam Vostokoff, you're overthinking it. If you two want to flirt or even start going at it right here, it has nothing to do with me. If you think I was interrupting, then I apologize. I'll leave right now so you two can carry on." Natasha chuckled. "Come on now, Snow Queen, we're all on the same side here. I was just teasing. Don't take it to heart." The icy look on Aspen's face finally faded a little. "I'm heading out. A small firm is requesting investment from Supreme Capital Group, so I'm going to check them out and see if they're worth our time." She threw that out to Andrew with zero warmth, then strutted off, her hips swaying confidently as she left Serenity Villa.

Just then, a small head peeked through the suffocating smoke. “Madam, do you need any help?” someone asked timidly. I forced my eyes open and saw a young boy who was about the same age as my son. He was covered in ash and dirt, but his eyes shone brightly through the smoke. He was so small in size, yet he managed to muster the strength to help me up. Then, together, we slowly made our way outside. The path to the outside was incredibly challenging, and I felt like giving up several times.

I hadn’t washed it yet. However, when I examined the collar, my fingers paused. The button was loose. The thread looked new, like it had been forcibly pulled. I crouched down and opened the shoe cabinet. My pair of hospital slippers sat neatly inside. The soles were clean. I remembered clearly that the last time I wore them, there had been a faint yellowish stain from disinfectant. Now, the soles were gray-white, as if someone had deliberately scrubbed them clean. My breathing tightened slightly, but my expression didn’t change.

The Silent Feet came and went like wind, leaving dead bodies and blood along their trail, but people did not hear screams or chaos, just silence, followed by death. As he stared at the pretty boy, seemingly too weak to even throw a punch, challenging him, Old Snow thought the Bronze Orchid was playing tricks on him. He felt a bit disappointed that he would have to destroy such a face. It would be a shame, but the boy had brought it upon himself. As he was sure he wouldn't lose, he didn't even demand a price if he won. It was an insignificant fight that would be over in seconds. Everyone knew how it was going to end, so there was no need for all that fuss. He was wrong.

The Siege of the Black Snow While Elias stood in the silent cavern, the Silver Basin was a vision of hell. The sky had turned a bruised, oily purple, and the snow falling from the clouds was pitch black. Where the flakes touched the ground, the grass withered instantly.
