Awakening the White Wolf
As it raised it's claws again, I dodged it, my breaths coming out in heavy wisps.
Every muscle in my body burned, and it begged to give in, but I didn't. I couldn't, because giving in meant death, and I didn't survive all I did just to die in front of the Blood Moon.
In one swift motion, I climbed it's back, and shoved the jagged wood into its neck. It roared again, louder this time, as it staggered. I held tight against its skin as it bucked and thrashed beneath me. My fingers burned from the black magic, but I didn't let go. Letting go would be the end of me, and I would rather we died together, than for it to tear me into pieces.
