I vocalized more of the song once his grip loosened enough for my breath to escape. His dark eyes found mine as he began to fall under my trance and out of Remmi's. I sang the song, hugging him to me as his body fell from mine, going limb as his lifeforce slipped away. "I'm sorry, so so so very sorry. Please please, forgive me," I cried, resting my lips on his cheeks in an attempt to lessen the pain he was going through given his loud groans and the sweat forming on his forehead.

The sonic scream was powerful enough that it burst the vampires that heard it and weakened the humans who heard it, making some humans swoon.

Sonia’s voice shook with emotion as tears spilled down her cheeks. “I broke free today knowing he finally captured you and would leave this place unguarded to carry out his plan. You must defeat him so he can’t create any more monsters like himself. He can’t be allowed to kill any more people,” she pleaded, getting down on her knees in front of him. The room became a kaleidoscope of chaos”shattered relics, dust, pulverized stone, and the desperate, thrashing forms of the undead.

I heard them scream as they died. Heard them call out for help I could not give. The ritual circle was shrinking. The rebels were getting closer to Elvanya. "Eldric" I shouted "how much longer" "Almost done" Eldric yelled back "the ritual is at its peak" Behind me Elvanya's screams reached a new level. Higher and louder than before. The sound did not seem possible from a human throat. It sounded like the earth itself was crying out. The moon was directly overhead now.
