The air vibrates as the call grows louder. Their bodies begin to shake violently. Water crushes around them from every direction. Bones crack. Skin splits. They try to scream but the ocean takes their voices. The pressure increases. Then they collapse. Their bodies crumble under the force. Turning to dust that scatters across the wet floor. The song ends abruptly. Silence slams into the room. Broken glass drips water onto the ground. My sons stare at me. Wide-eyed in excitement I rush to them, pulling them into my arms.

“Then go ahead, Fenric. Talk to it if you can, make it listen if you want. Show me you are not just someone who would turn on us and pull us all down.” Fenric’s lips shook and his throat was dry.
