The impact threw debris into the air, and the shockwave hit my chest like a hammer. She stood in the crater she’d made, her gaze sweeping across us with no hint of recognition, only rage. How were we supposed to knock her unconscious when she could dodge everything we threw at her? We needed to disorient her. I reached behind me and pulled out the Sonic screamer. Its sharp hum vibrated against my palms as I powered it on. I gave Quin a signal, a single nod. She raised another Dream Blaster. “On my mark,” I said, tightening my grip.

The notion of such a specialized ability intrigued him, even though he remained cautious. "Tell me more about this 'Sonic Resonance,'" Scott urged, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinized the man's expression. The escaped man nodded, understanding the need to provide further explanation. "With Sonic Resonance, I can generate focused sound waves, amplifying them to destructive levels. I can shatter glass, destabilize structures, and even incapacitate enemies through sonic blasts. Jessica screamed as security arrived and escorted her away. I told the agent to sell the apartment fast, even at a lower price. I needed to leave this city as soon as possible. Word must have gotten out. Later that afternoon, Milo rushed over and handed me a box. "I've gotten the bracelet back and made things clear with her. She won't bother you. Can you forgive me now?" For six years, Milo controlled our relationship. But these last few days, he had been so humble, which made me feel nothing but disgust.

Kevin staggered, his hands reflexively covering his ears. His 'Level 3 Synthetic Buff' gave him physical strength, but it did not make him immune to sonic attacks. "Argh! What is this?!" Kevin roared, his protein pistol wavering. "That's a modified version of the 'Sugar Disintegration Sonic Wave,' Kevin!" Riska shouted, her voice firm.

Kaelen roared. He charged the clone. The boy didn't move. He didn't flinch. He just pressed a button on his cane. A high-pitched whine filled the arena. Kaelen stopped. He grabbed his head. He screamed. He fell to his knees clawing at his ears. "Sonic frequency," the boy explained calmly. "Designed specifically for the Genesis physiology. It liquefies the brain." Kaelen writhed in the mud. Blood began to pour from his ears.

He says. I don’t open the door. I grab my headphones and plug them into my computer. I start looking at the pictures I took today while music plays in the background. That way I don’t have to listen to Jaidyn. I move one so I can hear to see if he is still at my door. I hear him walk away and then I hear something hit a wall. Did he just throw something? I slip the headphone back into place. I stay in my room for a few hours. I finally have no choice but to venture out. I turn my music off and shut my computer. I let out a sigh and unlocked my door.
