My throat was on fire from all the screams I’d released while my body contorted in on itself. Within what felt like an eternity, but in reality was an agonizing minute, where my legs once were was a long, thick and scaly, green fish tail. I looked myself over again when all that was left were residual aches, and found small fin-like appendages on my elbows and sides of my upper arms.

His claws were slowly piercing through Lucas’ skin. Jane flew into a fit of rage and released a sonic scream toward the young man slamming him to the wall. She made her way towards him with her stone eye gaze on him. “You are messing with the wrong people!” she yelled releasing another powerful sonic scream. The scream was so powerful that it came with a wind wave and smashed the young man’s skull to the wall.

Then, he shouted loudly in his heart, ‘King Kong Palm! Paul clenched his right fist in front of his chest. The split second he struck, he gathered all his strength and punched out, thinking silently in his heart, ‘Tiger Cannon Fist!’ Boom! When the fist and the palm connected, a thunderous sound rang in everyone’s ears, with the vibrations causing everyone to feel dizzy.

Instead, they would hide like venomous snakes in the shadows, waiting for a moment when he let down his guard to strike. Ray had no intention of living with that kind of threat hanging over his head. At this point, he no longer cared about exposing his abilities. He paused briefly, opened a spatial portal beneath his feet, and fired three more sonic stones. Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. They streaked toward Lucas and the others in pursuit. A "sonic stone" earned its name because it truly traveled at the speed of sound—about 340 meters per second. And how far away were Lucas and the others? Less than a hundred meters.

The rhythmic, wet sound of stone grinding against stone—*ga-chi, ga-chi*—subsided into a crushing, airless silence. Leo’s fingers, once small and capable of fisting into the silk of my blazer, were now rigid spikes of gold-veined obsidian. They remained frozen mere inches from my own quartz hand, reaching for an anchor that had already become the bedrock.

For if he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have known about Eva and Marie’s Sonic Clap. Sonic Clap was a sound based martial art that was difficult to study. Among the Undead, only a few with the exception of Eva and Marie had been able to study this skill and only three – two of them being the female assassins trying to kill Aiden – had been able to completely master it. Sonic Clap wasn’t as destructive as other martial arts, but it was very dangerous. Armed with the ability to destroy the eardrums of any who heard it and disorient as well as temporarily destroy the sense of balance of a person, Sonic Clap was not to be underestimated. Its greatest flaw however was that it was only best used as a sneak

Sleep State Confirmed. Marcus opened his eyes. The Chrome Diamonds gleamed in the dim light. He raised his hands, staring at the faded, blood-stained athletic tape wrapped around his knuckles. Slowly, silently, he let his silver mana bleed out from his core, soaking into the fabric. The tape shifted, turning into a metallic, liquid state. The Liquid Silver hardened, forming invisible, dense brass knuckles over his skin.

And all she could do now was defend. She could see that this new attack carried twice the amount of power compared to the one earlier. And that meant that she couldn’t just handle this with her inner energy coat. So she countered with a skill she didn’t need to prepare herself to execute. A special skill much like Silver’s Distort. It was called Sonic Blast. Opening her mouth widely, she inhaled a sharp breath of air, and then violently coughed out this air. But what came out wasn’t a gust of wind. What was returned was a powerful blast that struck against Mane’s blades and did exactly what the skill was named – cause a blast!

The impact threw debris into the air, and the shockwave hit my chest like a hammer. She stood in the crater she’d made, her gaze sweeping across us with no hint of recognition, only rage. How were we supposed to knock her unconscious when she could dodge everything we threw at her? We needed to disorient her. I reached behind me and pulled out the Sonic screamer. Its sharp hum vibrated against my palms as I powered it on. I gave Quin a signal, a single nod. She raised another Dream Blaster. “On my mark,” I said, tightening my grip.

Sonic scratched the back of his head. “Let’s go” Ben got up and pulled Dana to the corridor. “What about when that lady comes back?” Dana whispered. “Sonic will deal with it!” Dana turned to look at Sonic, just in time to see him rolling his eyes. Sonic put his index finger to his lips to command silence and a warning by a cutthroat action with the thumb of his right hand complete with a menacing look once he realized that he was seen by Dana. Dana quickly turned her head back.
