“Mommy is right,” Adrian said.
Poppy sighed with deep exhaustion. “All grown-ups are afraid of art.”
“I’m pretty sure I once saw you put glitter in my hair.”

Adrian laughed again.
Poppy didn’t.
She walked farther inside, showing him the bed, the pillows, one small bag, then moved the camera so close to the moon lamp that the screen showed nothing but a large white glow.
“Look. Moon.”
“Beautiful.”
“Yes.”
