I called upon my fading energy and put my all into manifesting the spell that had come to mind. The inky spider web-like netting sprang from my wand. I opened my eyes in time to see the envelope Xavier. He fought against it, which caused the webbing to constrict around him. Dropping my defenses, I strode toward where he writhed on the rain-dampened ground. Patches of dirty snow lingered under the bushes, shade arbors, and benches.
