Durante mucho tiempo, Inés del Valle creyó que Emiliano Cornejo era su única luz en este mundo. Hasta que, mirándola directamente a los ojos, él le dijo con cruel indiferencia: —Mi compromiso con Mariana Altamirano no se cancelará. Si quieres, puedes seguir siendo mi amante. Makakaya kaya niya ang pagpapahirap nito sa kan'ya hindi lamang emosyonal, kun'di pati na sa pisikal? Matutunan kaya siyang mahalin ng lalakeng siyang pangarap niya o habang buhay na siyang mamumuhay sa piling ng isang heartless demon?
