Episode 49 – The Confessional Diary The attic smelled of dust and forgotten things. Ophelia’s fingers traced the spine of a leather-bound journal, its surface cool and smooth, tucked away in a cedar chest that had belonged to her grandmother. She hadn’t been looking for secrets; she’d been looking for old photo albums. But the moment she lifted the diary’s cover and saw the elegant, looping script, her own script, from years ago, a peculiar heat bloomed in her chest.

I wave him goodbye, he checks his noodle hair in the mirror and leaves. There is not much work. There is never much work. I sit in front of the laptop and check my F******k account. F******k is boring when you’re dating the prettiest girl there will ever be. I don’t want to, but I still end up doing what I’ve been avoiding since morning. I fetch the diary from my drawer and open it. RD.

I mentally rolled my eyes. He opened his mouth to say whatever he was about to, but a phone call interrupted him. Shocker. The universe wanted me to die of curiosity. He groaned and gave me a pleading and apologetic look before answering the call. He blinked continuously as the person spoke. He froze, looking mortified. "What do you mean SpongeBob started playing?" I had a feeling that this was going to be very entertaining. "I told you to open the presentation on my laptop before hooking it up to the meeting projector."

JOY “Dad, you’re worse than a kid. This cartoon isn’t for you. You need to go to bed!” I yelled at Dad, who smiled at me, his eyes much brighter than before. Paige stared at me from the couch, giggling at my father being scolded. “I can’t help it. This is amazing. Who knew SpongeBob SquarePants could be so hilarious . . . but also, a bit inappropriate for kids.” I shrugged. “I know. But Dad, you’ve taken your sleeping pills already. So, if you don’t sleep now, you’ll be awake all night.”

Tobi joined in the laughter as we all walked slowly to the large gates of the manor. The place looked deserted, and gloomy. The trees had dried up except the giant baobab tree that stood in the middle of the land before the building was even constructed. I tried looking in through the gates but it was so dark that I could not see anything. "That's strange," I whispered. "What is?" Tobi asked. "I can't see into the manor, it is almost as if I am being blocked by something." "Yeah, me too!" the others all chorused.

Sponge bob was a sensual symbol. Adulf cain was sensual. He slept with with a Hispanic at 8, an idonisian at 9 (Ursa) and finally Sara--sara who would be the end of his life. Finally Damaris watched a fox news on an argument that sponge bob was messing with kids brains, she cut the show for her son but it'd been too late? Did not sponge bob go back to the middle ages to find an unhappy fish who attempted slitting its own throat? 'Someday.. But not today. 'He said. And did not squid ward hang a rope from his ceiling saying 'I just can't seem to get happy.. Maybe this will help. '

**David’s POV** Here in my New York apartment, as the relentless city rain echoes my mood, I find myself repeatedly drawn to the old, worn pages of Scarlet’s diary. This morning, the echoes of last night's indulgence weigh heavy, a migraine pulsing in the background as I numb it with the usual analgesic. But the diary demands attention once again. I flip to the last entry, a letter penned for me, her "Bumblebee," written in a moment of profound solitude and clarity.

According to the diary, the alarm was a sign that a Xenobeast had entered the base area. "If you're not ready to fight, it's better to just stay at home," I whispered, reading the sentence in the diary. "Huh?" Somehow this diary felt like it was talking to me. Duna's writing style was quite unique and felt familiar to me. There were only bottles of water and soda in the fridge, but I found plenty of snacks in the cupboard. The contents of this cupboard are even much fuller than the contents of the refrigerator. Duna seems to prefer snacking than cooking. Well, that's not bad.

When he got there it was almost late, he was the last to get in the car. He sat down beside a girl but paid little to no attention to her. He opened up his diary and started writing. "Is that a diary? I have one too." A soft girly voice asked it was the girl beside him. He looked up and she was in the same uniform as he was. She was so beautiful he couldn't make himself answer her question. He just kept staring with his mouth half-open. "Is something wrong with my uniform? I just got it. It's my first day, you see?" She said with a smile.
