Elara nodded, once, then kissed Lyra’s tiny forehead.
“Stay safe, little moon,” she whispered. “Mama and Papa are coming back.”
Seraphine took the child, vanishing down the inner stair with two trusted betas.
Elara turned to Kael, silver eyes meeting silver.
“No mercy,” she said.
“No mercy,” he answered.
They descended to the courtyard, pack already assembled, claws out, fangs bared.
The Eclipse force stopped at the gate, Veyr shifting to human form: tall, broad, white hair braided with obsidian beads, red eyes burning.
