My mate chose my sister

My mate chose my sister

I looked at the ceiling. Not the east block ceiling, memorized across too many nights of counting. This ceiling, with the specific pattern of the old northern timber and the particular quality of darkness that the east-facing windows produced when the night sky was clear and there was enough starlight to give the room a faint, specific quality of not-quite-black. I knew this ceiling. I had been learning it for one hundred and sixteen days.

The Omega and Her Three Wolves

The Omega and Her Three Wolves

And just like that, I was back to thinking about what I was trying to distract myself from. With a huff, I shoved the blankets back to let the cold air flow into the little pocket I’d made for myself. It was getting stuffy anyway. I pulled the blankets to my chin and stared at the dark ceiling. There was an evil spirit floating around out there, likely still attached to me in some way. It wasn’t like we could just toss me into an MRI machine and see it.

My Enemy [BL]

My Enemy [BL]

How to look in the mirror tomorrow and not despise the person staring back. I crawled into bed, pulling the covers up to my chin, and stared at the ceiling long after the house had gone quiet. Christmas lights twinkled softly through my curtains, innocent and bright, while inside me, everything felt completely the opposite. I lay in the dark for what seemed like hours, watching the holiday lights outside my window cast soft, colorful patterns on the ceiling. Each time I felt tears about to spill, those colors blurred together. The house was completely silent now, the deep Christmas Eve quiet turning every creak of the old floors into a confession.

Mage of Wolves

Mage of Wolves

It’s sort of funny how my bedroom ceiling looks the same every night. Whether I’m devastated about the loss of my grandmother or confused about what just happened between Sam and Starla, when I’m laying on my back, staring up at the ceiling, it looks exactly the same as it does on nights when I hardly notice it at all. You’d think there’d be some sort of a change--a darkening of the white paint or a show of some sort cast by shadows of despair. But… no. It’s the same now as it always is, even though I’ve been lying awake staring at it for hours. Eventually, it will change when the sun starts to come up and slides between the edge of curtains to illuminate the entire room, casting a soft glow

Satagalli
Very enjoyable. It's great that it's more of a polyamory than a man harem like a lot of recent books are. The characters personalities are well defined and do not stray or muddle into a bunch with the same attitude.
Christy Scott
I love this book and think the author is very talented. my only concern is the cost of reading the book is around 100 dollars. I wish it was broken up into two or even three books but it is worth the time if you want to spend that much on 1 book.

Rules and Roses

Rules and Roses

And the only thing that gave light was a tiny light bulb that kept flickering high up the ceiling. The place felt cold and claustrophobic. Amara couldn’t help but inch closer to one corner of the room to sit and hug her knees against her chest. Her eyes unblinking, memorizing every inch of the room. There were cobwebs festering up at the top of the ceiling, the silk of the web reflecting light.

I have not read the book as yet; I read the quotes at beginning of each chapter, from chapter 10 onwards. I found the quotes relevant to current situations I am facing. Thanks for a timely reminder, author! I will be reading the book soon and I anticipate an enjoyable read

Crimson Moon: Shadows Of The Past

Crimson Moon: Shadows Of The Past

She immediately turns to her right and starts vomiting. ******* Mark is lying on the floor in a dark room. The walls in that room are all black in color and so is the floor. The ceiling of the room has stars, twinkling above. He watches as they twinkle and the sky color changes, from blake to royal blue. The colors kept changing and everything was very soothing and peaceful.

Joana's Murdered case

Again. I dragged myself into a sitting position and climbed out to my bed. I left the room and went straight to the kitchen. I didn't even bother to turn on the light. Because I can still see where I'm going through because of the glow in the dark stars attached to the entire ceiling of the house, that gives some light. I put that on purpose because it gives me relaxation.

The Master's Child

The Master's Child

A camera; merciless, indifferent, it stares down, squarely on my corner; a black cyclops eye aimed at me, a small red indicator blinking: On... Off... On... Off... On... Off... A single naked bulb dangles from a wire in the centre of the ceiling. If it were dark, they couldn't watch me. Are they really watching me? All the time?

Caged Between The Werewolves And Vampires

Caged Between The Werewolves And Vampires

She stared at the ceiling without blinking and immediately fell into the familiar nightmare that had always plagued her sleep. *NIGHTMARE* She was standing in a dark unfamiliar room, the room was dark but she could see everything clearly, like she had some sort of light in her eyes. The coven-like room was filled with women, their eyes flashing bright blue as they all stared at her as if they were trying to lure her in. They had a wand in their hands.

Two Wolves, One Omega

The whole room just went dead silent for minutes and it was so uncomfortable that I almost started hearing my own heartbeat louder than normal. Seraya's mum, or let me just say the thing inside her, was still staring hard at the ceiling like she had some kind of beef with it, like maybe the ceiling collected something from her and didn’t return it. It was creepy because her eyes weren’t even blinking and were just fixed there in this strange way that made the whole place feel darker than it already was. It wasn't like I was scared or contemplating having a conversation with her , I was only just thinking about how I was going to gather all the thoughts inside my head into one line of questio
