Divorce? Never Letting Go!
Once Jayna's gone, everywhere goes silent.
“Uhm– have you a seat,” I say, short of words.
She stares at the couch and shakes her head. “That won't be necessary. I'm here to get the divorce papers myself,”
I stopped breathing.
“Wha— what?”
She extends her hand. “The divorce papers, Killian.”
I'm trying hard not to stutter, to be calm.
She crosses her arms, impatient.
But the look in her eyes tells me all I need to know.
I move and she stands there, watching.
