Carl and Mr Swift are plopped in one corner talking. Meagan let out a long yawn. She had been sleeping for a long time when she had only intended to take an afternoon nap. Looking up at the big wall clock, she realized it was almost time for dinner and it seem like they had all left her intentionally to rest by not waking her up.

I agree. “With me!” Megan adds, bouncing to her feet. She links her arm through mine and pulls me out of Bellamy’s reach. We head upstairs and I make Megan let me go long enough for me to go and brush my teeth properly then I head to her room and let me drag her under the covers. Luckily she has a thick curtain that blocks all but the smallest hint of light. She curls up beside me and falls asleep clutching my arm like a teddy bear. I pass out almost as fast as she does. Bellamy wakes me up gently an unknown amount of time later. It could have been five minutes or five hours. Megan is nowhere to be seen, so I’m leaning more towards the five hours side of the clock.

One of them tapped my face in an attempt to wake me from my ‘beauty sleep’. “Millie…” Jesus Christ! Leave me alone… “Miiiillleee…” “Ahh.” I sighed, “I’m awake!” Keeping my eyes shut tight, I pulled the thin blanket over my head, blocking out any light from the sun. “Millie, we need to talk to you,” Megan said as she began to pull the blanket off me. “Nope… No, you don’t. You need to let me sleep.” “Millie…” “Megan, you know I’m not a morning person!” Trying to talk to me right wasn’t going to get them very far, given I was hanging out of my arse and unbelievably tried.

He continued to think about it, and suddenly, he sprung up from his chair and left the house in a hurry. Tyler says in the mind link. "Did Megan come back yet?"I say in the group link. "No, she is still in the parking crying. She hasn't moved in forty minutes",A warrior says. Seems even Megan is second-guessing her mother's motives. Both are still money hungry leeches. We head back to Savage and I hope we get there in time to stop Jan and her craziness. "Theo, how is our girl?"I mind link him. Still sleeping, Nick, we are watching her. Should I cook food?"he asks, and I grin.

She cracked her neck as she sat up straight, the uncomfortable position reflecting on her back. She looked at the peaceful, sleeping frail form of her mother, Bethany Mason, and sighed. She wasn't sleeping. She had to remind herself. She was in a coma. For the past seven years. Willow looked at the bright screen of her phone. When she woke again, she was lying on a hospital bed. The damning images from the black box surged back into her mind. She yanked out her IV needle in a blind frenzy. A nurse, catching sight of her wild struggle, quickly restrained her, shouting for a doctor to sedate her. "I want to see Kurt…" … I was at home, recovering, when my phone wouldn't stop ringing. My mother, finally unable to bear the noise, urged me softly. "Who keeps calling? Could it be something urgent?" I glanced at the glowing screen. That number—I could recognize it with my eyes closed.

"We'll talk about it some other time, I have to go. I'll call you later man." I ended the call and quickly checked out Echoview Magazine's website. The article about Shay was also there and I smirked when I read the headline right above a picture of her standing inside her office with a file in her hand, looking to the side; 'SAN FRANCISCO'S GOLDEN GIRL SECRETLY WORKING AT CARTWRIGHT & EVANS HOLDINGS!'

**Megan’s POV** The guest room felt like a cocoon, wrapping me in its quiet darkness. My body ached from the day’s torture, Hannah’s endless lessons, Alexander’s cold stares, the weight of this gilded prison. I lay on the bed, the silk sheets cool against my skin, but my mind wouldn’t shut off. The Zeus mansion was suffocating, every chandelier and marble floor screaming I didn’t belong. My eyes burned, heavy with exhaustion, but sleep wouldn’t come. Not with that damn phone buzzing.
