Nethanaiah’s POV I remembered the last time I saw him, some centuries ago, his eyes were of eerie steel grey colour. And now, when his eyes opened widely in a sudden and sharp spasm, his irises combusted in neon lava, no traces of his usual steel grey colour that I remembered.

I looked at her carefully because she seemed familiar, but I could not place her. She was trying to quickly stack the books that littered the ground and looked up at me when she realized that I had not moved or said anything. I was struck with how unique her eyes looked. They were a light blue with silver rings around her irises. The rings were a tell-tale sign that our wolves are pressing forward or in control. However, it looked like she was in control, yet the color remained the same and never wavered in or out. Interesting. Her blonde brows knitted together when she caught me staring. The eyes that had just struck me narrowed as her body tensed up some, as if readying itself for a fight.

“You’re a pretty cool chick Steel?” I snorted with a smile as I pulled away a bit so I could meet his gaze. “Why do you insist on calling me by my lastname ever since you found out what is was.” He smiled and reached up to caress my cheek. “It suits you. Especially since the name itself compliments the colour of your eyes. Fact is Steel turns blue because of a thin oxide layer that forms on the surface of metal. And your eyes reminds me of that. Steel may not have a specific color, but for your eyes…it does.”

Ricky asked. “Huh um no they are blue; you should get your eyes checked,” Jade said shaking her head. She wasn’t sure why the boy was so interested in her eyes. “No, they are gray Jade.” He challenged. “There’s only ever been one person with your eye color. You should be happy that you’re different.” “Whatever, I have to go,” Jade said rolling her eyes. She was hoping her Aunt was already waiting for her. “Should we tell her about the legends?” Stephan whispered to Ricky.

Yet, I was sure of what I saw. It reminded me of the radiant hues that dance in the triplets’ eyes when their emotions surge beyond control. This particular glow was unfamiliar to me until I witnessed it as the pups got older: Stefan mirroring Isaac’s fiery red. Thorin’s eyes are an icy blue, and Lotta’s golden yellow. But why did Stefan share this trait with them? This weird similarity begged the question: what did it mean? I had never seen anything like it before, and even Wayne was baffled. Despite our efforts to understand the pups’ unique characteristics, we remained clueless.

My blue hair fell beyond my shoulders, representing everything I was destined to be rather than being the object of youthful awe. As I fixed the silver circlet Alpha Derek had given me for the mating ritual, my hands shook a little. The thought of him made my heart skip a beat. Prophecy and duty had entwined our futures as we grew up together. I had noticed the tender grin he kept for me and the warmth in his black eyes, even though our interactions had always been professional and closely watched by the pack elders. I was startled out of my reverie by a gentle knock on my door. I called and said, "Come in," hoping to see my mother for some last-minute counsel.

His skin glowed with the same bright blue hue as the cloth of the tent and the bright pin-prick lights which I can now see are a special variety of Starflower jasmine. In the center of his forehead is a large eye, inked carefully in the same glowing blue paint. Matching eyes adorn each hand, and when he turns away, another eye glares at me from the back of his bald scalp. He doesn't say anything, so I follow him, assuming that is what he wants me to do.

Hearing your thoughts and seeing what you can see… What's the difference? I did not reply. I merely showed her what the difference was. In front of Snowie's stunned gaze, I thrust my finger into my right eye and forcibly plucked my eyeball out. Of course, there would not be blood or gore. After all, my right eye was a prosthetic.

She blinks and looks at him, “You think so?” He gestures to his own eyes, “Oh.” She looks sad, “Oh, Hon. No. I just mean the blue.” She blinks again and looks up at him confused. He smirks, “They are such a striking blue and I’ve only ever seen the like on Bone-Witches, admittedly they weren’t as nice as you, but that’s beside the point, Hon.” Seb stirs the bags in the large pot, trying to make sure they’re all evenly cooked.

"The Eye is trying to find their heartbeats. It wants to delete them." * How do we stop it? Julian asked. * We have to break the mirror Maya said. She looked at Julian her eyes full of tears. "The Eye is a reflection of every story ever written. It thinks it is the truth. We have to show it a lie big that the computer crashes." * A shadow fell over them. A giant figure with no face stepped out from the wall of screens. It wore a suit made of gold. Carried a pen that looked like a long sword.
