Steins Gate Watch Order Novels & Stories

This was my chance. I changed into dark leggings and a hoodie, tucking my hair under a cap. I slipped down the back staircase, through the empty kitchen, and out the terrace doors. The service gate at the southern wall was my target. I’d watched the gardener key in the code yesterday. My heart hammered as I reached the keypad. 1-8-9-1? I punched it in. A soft beep. A green light. The lock disengaged with a heavy thunk. I pushed the gate open just wide enough to slip through. On the other side, a beat-up sedan idled at the curb. I hailed it, then slid into the backseat, breathless.

Eight Years Later Evelyn’s POV The massive iron gates of the estate slid open silently. A line of four black armored SUVs sat idling on the gravel driveway, their engines humming like restless beasts. I stepped out of the front doors, the midday sun catching the diamonds on my wrist. I adjusted my oversized black sunglasses, my silk trench coat billowing in the breeze. Behind me, a small army of uniformed maids and valets hurried to load the last of the designer trunks into the lead vehicle. My head of security, Lucas, stood by the car door, his hand resting near his holster as he scanned the perimeter.

I don’t let myself savor it. I cross the courtyard quickly, heart hammering. The gravel crunches under my shoes—too loud, too exposed. I expect shouting. A bullet. A hand around my arm. But nothing. The east gate stands ten yards away. Another camera flickers. Twenty-three seconds. I reach the keypad panel mounted into the stone wall. My fingers didn't shake. That surprises me. I input the override code I memorized three nights ago while Carlino argued on speakerphone. The gate clicks.

How? The gates were made out of powerful, thick steel rods that gave peeks into the paradise beyond it was protecting. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get much of a view of its beauty as scores of Blackvines Pack guards dressed in suits stood behind the barricades they had set in place against my G-wagon.

I thought about you should run. I thought about the estate’s geography — the gate, the drive, the grounds, the house. The gate had the security firm’s man on it now, a fact I had verified at eight. The house had its own systems, the cameras, the locks, the infrastructure of a building that had been secured with the specific attention of a man who understood that a visible asset required invisible protection. But Garrett was not at his address. And Raines knew where we were. “I need you both to listen to me,” I said.

“If the span is real, the chair will not sit that water until it ends. If the span is a blind, the next movement will come when we thin the watch.” I did not thin the watch. I rotated it. Fresh eyes. Same orders. Hold the doors. Do not knock. Elias heard the full shape of it in the command room while Rowan slept against him. The bond carried his focus without strain. “They priced us, failed, and moved the coin,” he said. “If we only watch empty doors, the far list does the real work.” “We watch the doors and we feed the warnings,” I said. “The far list is already out of our hand except for the word we send. The doors are the last place the near network still shows a body.”

He understood. I issued the orders. Every unit knew their role. No improvisation. No hesitation. By seven, we had everything in place. UV floodlights, silver rounds, toxin-laced blades, every weapon we had that could cripple Strigoi or Dhampir. The only obstacle left was the gate. And even that was already being handled. Grant volunteered to go in first, quiet, fast, lethal. Take out the guards. Clear the path. All we needed was for him to get that gate open. Seconds would be enough.

“Better. Just don’t forget to wear it. Every second counts.” Thea closed the box and nodded once more. She stood, slipping the box into her bag, and adjusted her skirt. Steve grabbed his jacket from the chair, his face settling back into the cool, careless mask he wore like armor. “Remember to activate it before heading to his penthouse. It starts recording the moment you activate it,”

"We built an empire that nothing on earth can ever touch." David’s POV Down in the lower courtyard, the evening shift was settling into its steady, rhythmic routine. I walked along the polished stone pathway with my thick leather binder tucked securely under my arm, my pen resting behind my ear as I conducted the final pre-midnight walk. Officer David stood by the secondary gatehouse, verifying the manual deadbolt engagement on the main driveway entry. "Manual deadbolt locked and verified, David the Second," the chief officer reported, turning to offer a crisp, respectful nod. "Hydraulic barrier pressure is locked at maximum tension."

"We can confirm that this watch is authentic. We are offering a price of five million dollars. MiracleWatch has been a rare watch for several months now. If you agree, please complete this form and affix the code from this watch." "Code?" Jeremy frowned, confused. Jonathan and James did the same. The three looked at each other. "Each MiracleWatch has a different unique code. That unique code must be submitted as a condition of the trade we're about to make," explained the storekeeper, "if you can't provide the correct code, we may suspect that this watch is stolen." "I forgot to ask my father for the code," Jeremy responded as he took the watch back from the waiter's hand. "I'll be back aft
