He pointed to a single, white-winged gull riding the wind current below us. “Look,” he whispered, a child’s wonder in his voice. “Perfect efficiency.” He sat in the worn armchair we kept there, facing the horizon. Keila and I sat with him, holding his hands. His breathing slowed, synchronizing with the distant rhythm of the waves. And then, he spoke his last words, not to us, but as a final, soft log entry into the quiet air. “System report: All critical missions complete. All guardians deployed. All errors reconciled. Love… operational. Initiating final, peaceful shutdown.”

I looked up and saw Stark's gaze was turned to me. I looked away from Stark and back to Stallone. I grabbed Stallone's hand and held on tight to it. I let all my tears out, no longer making effort to hold them back. I felt Stallone's hand on mine and I looked straight at his face. My eyes were blurb from vision by my tears. "It's my time to go Andra. I just want to tell you... I love you..." Stallone said. Those were his last words before he died.

Iris's POV "Iris run!!! You should run!!!" The last image before I could remember was Winston signing the agreement to donate his remains. Then he was lying in our home, calmly making his last phone call. "Hello, I'm dying. You can come now." Irene and Rowane cried out in unison, but Steven could no longer hear them.

Suddenly, there was a great rumbling of thunder, as his body went limp. Ruth barked like crazy, as Scarlet wept behind her. Caitlin let out a great wail, rising up, blending with the sound of the thunder. She felt she had lost the greatest thing she had ever found. She didn’t even know what to say. How could she ever get over this?
