Mr Rogers stomped around the room with angry steps. Watching all the managers standing in a single line with arrow eyes. You could tell there was anxiety between the men and women standing in front of him, Jasmine was also among them, their heads all bowed to the floor "Can someone tell me, what's going on in my company?! " He growled. Everyone seemed to be frightened by Mr Rogers except for Jasmine who knew why they were here in the first place...

-ZOYA- I stare at his back, speechless. Ragnar deflecting was extra annoying, but I know he wasn't kidding about the five minutes. I type in Xander's number, my heart racing faster with every digit. It might have been from the adrenaline from the fight... or the tension. How would Xander react? Maybe he wished I was dead like every other person... Maybe he no longer wants anything to do with me. "Who is this?" Xander's cool voice cuts through my thoughts.

What could be so important that he'd come to my room? "Rogers," he said, closing his eyes as my uneasiness grew. "Is anything wrong?" I asked, whispering. I felt like he was finding it difficult to speak. This time, my anxiousness disappeared. I think something else was troubling him. I wanted to stand and give him a hug, but I just couldn't. I didn't want to start something I couldn't finish. No one will ever love me. This man here won't love me either.

’ Surging forward, I gather Denali into my arms and then shoot a glare in Roger’s direction as he watches on in amusement. “It seems she is still the same pathetically weak omega she has always been.” A low growl of warning escapes me as I fight the urge to slit the bastard's throat. Not now. Not yet, when a more severe punishment was waiting for him. Soon, he wouldn't be so cocky, and I looked forward to seeing him get every fucking bit of karma he deserved. Fighting my very instincts, I slowly stand with Denali in my arms and then turn to leave. “Enjoy the time the two of you have left!” Roger calls from behind me. “Because once things are in motion, your end will come.”

he sneered. I pulled out my phone, showing Mr. Rogers the news article. “Read it yourself. The killer's confession, the evidence... it's all there.” Mr. Rogers' face reddened, but he refused to back down. “You're just trying to manipulate me.” My voice turned cold. “You're not listening, Mr. Rogers. You're blinded by your own hate.” He stood up, his eyes flashing with anger. “Get out of my office before I call security.”

I kept on looking around, trying to clear my thoughts about everything and trying to calm my mind from all of the chaos inside. There is silence then another moment of silence before I was guided into a sort of old logs. “ Calm down first, okay? Take a deep breath, exhale or anything,” Beta Xander commanded when he noticed that I am having a hard time breathing. “ You’re too afraid of rogues,” he blurted out, patting my back. I only nodded because, given all of our circumstances, rogues for me are the evilest creature. They take lives, in a most brutal way.

Even without the rumors he scares the living daylights out of me at times, but Rudy adores him for some reason, so I can't avoid him at Rudys. I was about to take his order when Roger, the town pervert, grabbed my arm and sat me on his lap "Athena, you shouldn't be working in a place like this as pretty as you are. Why don't you leave your job and come work for me? Don't you think we'll have a great time together? "he inquired, shifting me so my ass could graze his crutch. I struggled against him, trying to break free. I was so focused on breaking free that I didn't notice when Rider approached Roger's table, holding a gun.

“I will rip them apart! I will rip both mother and daughter apart!” Piers gritted his teeth after looking at unconscious Rose. Roger wanted to shout at him for being a hypocrite. First, he had hurt Rose, and now he was getting angry at others for hurting her. He wanted to pummel Piers’ face into a pulp. But he had to keep quiet. No one could know that Rose talked to him, confided in him. That would make Ursa angry, and then she would dump her anger on Rose. He didn’t care that Ursa would fire him; he cared about the safety of Rose.

I didn't know if I wanted to hear it or if this was even the right question to ask, but something tells me that I need to know, my arms hugged around me, bracing me for what I was about to hear. My mind was already flooding with images of Roger gutted and his body parts brutally chopped into pieces—different worst-case scenarios just swimming in my mind. He didn't respond straight away, only turned to smile at me, but that's not the disturbing part. His eyes said otherwise; it was like he let his guard down for a second, and his eyes became the window to his soul. All I see is truth, anger that was not directed at me, possessiveness, and lastly sadness, which flickered between a hollow look

XAVIER’S POV The battlefield was a storm of chaos—a whirlwind of snarls, blood, and desperation from both sides. My claws tore through flesh, my fangs dripped with the metallic tang of enemy blood, and my lungs burned with every ragged breath. The rogues and Lycans came in waves, relentless, their eyes wild with a hunger that bordered on madness but Ross was nowhere in sight. I don't want to believe he was hiding behind his army because that would be the height of cowardice.
