ZAHIR I stood tall in the grand hall, my gaze fixed upon my Steven. Something in his demeanor caught my attention, a flicker of unease that lingered beneath his composed facade. He can deny it all he wants, but I know there was something wrong. "Steven, is there something troubling you?" I inquired again, my voice firm yet laced with a genuine desire to understand his state of mind. Steven hesitated for a brief moment, his eyes flickering with uncertainty. It was evident that he grappled with the decision to share his concerns, but my stern expression urged him to speak his mind. After a moment's contemplation, he finally replied, his voice steady but guarded.

His presence filled the space before he even spoke. “Mrs. Blackthorn,” he said smoothly, his tone refined, charming even. “I hope I’m not intruding. I do intend to come on time when it is meetings like this.” I gestured for him to sit. “Not at all. You have me at a disadvantage, though. I don’t believe we’ve met. And given your scent, I can tell that you are not from here, Alpha.” He smiled, slow and confident, the kind of smile that didn’t quite reach the eyes. “Forgive me. Alpha Lorenzo D’Amaris. But I choose to go by Mr. D’Amaris when it is amongst humans.”

Even though I haven't seen him in real life, I saw pictures and he looks more like me, than Ryder," I say He chuckles shortly, "What do you do at the gym?" "Gymnastics and my brother is teaching me self-defence. You should fight me," I tell him doing playful karate moves with my hands.

I am grateful to Caius for never letting Isleen feel like an outsider, something which I have dealt with ever since he announced that I would stay in the pack. I am happy here, as happy as I can be without a mate. I help the pack doctor, working as a Healer, after revealing my identity to Caius and Harmony. His torso and arms were stained with bruise marks from the cables and pipes that were stuck to his body during his time with Professor Joseph. “Governor Gerald, Professor Joseph, and Evelyn are going to die by my hands. For the sake of Gregory and for the sake of all the people they put through so much pain because of their selfish goals, I'm going to make sure they pay,” Steven said, his voice laced with anger as he tightened his fist.

Steven reached out and grabbed Yonda’s arm, and stopped her. “Avenge me.” He weakly said and then let her leave. Kevin began laughing, hearing the words of Steven. “Revenge? Do you want revenge? You will not die even if the Grim Reaper himself arrives. You are only experiencing a mild panic attack. I will have the paramedics send you to the best hospital and get you back on your feet. You have to witness the demise of the Ross family taken from your control and answer to all your crimes.” Steven’s phone then ran and lifted his phone to see the caller. Steven answered the call on speaker.

Moving away from the group to a table beside the table I see him go through a bag that’s there. “Hello Meri, I’m Steven, do you mind if I approach?” he asks as he looks at me. Confused as to what was going on, I looked to Ericson and my dad, they nodded insured that it was safe, so I nod in turn. Seeing it he approaches me. Though as he approaches me, I see he looks familiar. “Meri, I would like you to meet my older brother Steven. Plus, he is the doctor that looked you over when we got here. If he causes you any discomfort, tell me and I will put fire ants in his pants.”
