Alice was beside grandma Janet and Kelvin as she was being introduced to every one present. Alice was struggling to keep up with her company, and to follow up with the light banter from each person they met. The high heels on her feet were killing and she was not comfortable with the too many jewelries she had on her. She was a simple girl born in and brought up with a simple lifestyle. She thought to herself, that it would take forever or even never to get adjusted to the high life of the Sanders.

"H-hey, what is happening? You’re scaring me." Alice retreated from the embrace and kept her smile, "I came by to say thank you. Thank you for accepting me, giving me a place to stay, and taking care of me. Because of you, my life changed, and I met amazing people." "Why are you talking like you’re leaving? What was it now?" Clarisse’s anxiety was already spiking. It really sounded like Alice was leaving. Alice pressed her lips together, not knowing how or where to start. I have nothing left." She looks at Elara with desperate eyes. "That's why I called you. I know we're not friends. I know you have no reason to help me. But I'm drowning. I need help."
