Eason groaned. “He just wants what’s best,” Nyla said. “Yeah, best for him,” Eason scowled. “You’ll learn, Nyla, that the only person my dad cares about is himself. The rest is just an act.” Suddenly Edmond’s coldness took on a new meaning: indifference. Guilt can indeed be a very complex emotion."

I had so many questions to ask but only spoke one. “Do you need to use my life energy to communicate, to function?” They silently looked at each other and looking back at me, nodded their head. “Has the strong emotions that we experienced in the last two days helped?” Nodding their heads quickly again, I began to see what was happening. Strong emotions must generate a lot of energy that they can use to try to communicate. “So sex must be a good one?” They nodded their head again in confirmation. “What emotions are the strongest?”
