Every muscle popped out of his shirt at me, and his eyes held a dangerous darkness I had never seen before. There was power and danger in his tone that gave me goosebumps. “That's how people die in these storms. What the hell were you doing out there?”

He didn’t even look winded. Ryan’s lip curved into a cold, mocking smile as he wiped a trace of blood from his jaw. “So, who exactly do you think you are, storming into my house and throwing punches?” Logan smirked. “I’m the guy who doesn’t let anyone mess with his girl and walk away scot-free,” he shot back.
