Patricia leaned back slightly, smirk tugging at her lips. “Beautiful.” Gloria’s eyes glimmered with a hint of unease. “It’s alive.” Elara didn’t answer. She only stared, satisfied, her hand hovering above the raven skull, feeling its pulse through the shadows and the ink. In the quiet room, candle flames flickered against walls lined with dark magic, and the three of them waited, patient predators, for the chaos they would unleash.

Arabella Pov I've been with Endymion for three months now. I can't remember much from three months ago, but Endymion told me he found me in the woods almost dying and brought me back to his castle. He told me wolves were fighting to kidnap me because I'm special. When I try to remember, I do see fragments of people fighting. Along with the fragments are three glowing shadows of people that I feel like I should know. Endymion asks me every day what I remember. When I tell him about the three people, I think I know from my foggy memories, he orders a servant to bring me what he calls his special tea. He says the tea will help me remember.

My gaze soon found its way to another figure sat at the far back of the hall—Arabella. She looked so prepped up for this, hair packed up, red colored lips pulled into a smile, her gaze on me lingered. Her arms were held together, head giving a nod, while the last utterance of the priest had her smile growing even wider. I was just about turning away, right after her little wave at me, when I had caught sight of the figure sat next to her. Logan. And believe me when I say, I caught their arms linked together. But yet again, I could only be seeing things.

Third Person POV As the rest of the week passed, nothing major came about. The entire Michaels and Morgan company remained on high alert, prepared for anything or any move, any accusation, any attempt to shake their foundation. If something came flying their way, they were ready to block it before it even had the chance to explode. They were ready. Shane continued preparing for his children’s spring break trip, making sure everything was set and organized down to the smallest detail. Crandon and Tempest stayed cautious, keeping their guard up just in case the unstable professor decided to resurface. The flowers had already crossed a line and there was no telling what could come next.

He looked terrified. “Isolde,” his voice whispered in my mind, weak and shaking. “The Starlight... I need it. Now. I’m fading.” Before I could ask what he meant, he collapsed. I caught him, his heavy stone body pinning me to the floor. I looked around for help, but the hall was empty. Everyone had fled in fear. I looked down at Alaric. His skin was turning a dull, dusty grey. He wasn't just turning to stone anymore. He was crumbling. Small pieces of his shoulder were turning into sand right before my eyes.
