Claiming The Archduchess

Claiming The Archduchess

I leaned forward and cupped his face with both hands, then pressed my forehead against his. “Tell me something you’ve never said before.” His brows furrowed underneath my skin. “What kind of something?” “Something real. Scary… shameful… embarrassing. Funny. As long as you haven’t told me or anyone else before.” He was quiet for a long time. Then softly, he started. “My mother died when I was very young. Her face blurred even before I could know how to write my own name. My father… he was a demon. A junkie, an alcoholic. He hit my sister and me to the inch of our lives every day. The people who mattered in his life were the ones he brought to the house for a quick powder session and games. He

Fake marrying my new boss

Fake marrying my new boss

A few people chuckle. “If you want a story that’s really worth telling, I’m here to give you one. It’s about a brave, compassionate, willful man named Hans Lund… who just happens to be my father. He also happens to suffer from dementia.” There’s a new shift in the crowd as they all wonder where this is going. I’m wondering the same thing.

Contract Marriage

Contract Marriage

he continued, it wasn't a story he liked to tell, but he wanted to convince Rhea badly. "So that was how my hate for my father began, he could do anything for his machines, he could give away anything including us his children. He worked on several projects that he believed would changed the world." He recalled when he was younger when his father would be working on his projects and he would forget about him and Cece, they would go without food for days, they would have to beg for food to see what to eat, they both lived alone with their father and with no mother, she was long gone. "All of his projects took money and that was drove him, he was working on this particular project that needed

Aria's Choice

Aria's Choice

"Well, for one, you need to tell Aria this, not me. You need to pull yourself together because if you give anything away to Jory before Aria is ready, then your ass is mine, old friend." "I don't know how to be a father." The words just fall from my mouth. "Uh, hello. Do you think any of us do? My father was abusive, and Jory's father paid more attention to his brother and their money. None of us know how to be good fathers, but we will not make the same mistakes our fathers did. I understand that yours passed away, but that doesn't mean you can't be a good one yourself because of it."

Great book with great characters. Lots of twists. Definitely another great book from Stacy Rush! Loved this one almost as much as her book My Bully’s Love. Sad to see this one end but it was well worth the wait and heartache in some scenes. Cannot wait for the next book from Stacy!

Best book ever! A roller coaster of emotions throughout, suspense and drama to keep you interested. Such a talented writer that no doubt has a great future. I can not wait to see what the future holds in the books written by this author.

Jared's Addiction

Jared's Addiction

Xavier asked “Really late. I couldn’t leave her alone. I had to watch over her” “Yes you had to, considering the fact that you and Laura both decided to remove her baby without her consent. Did the guilt keep you up?” Xavier asked, still not looking up from his book “How did you know about that?” Jared asked “I find something amusing about this book. The man who was from a fairly rich background sells all his father has just to spite his father. That is not where it gets interesting. The most interesting part is that his father is an on old man on his death bed. He was literally dying and all his son could do was hate his father and he had carried that hate for his father around all his life

Lucifer's Hearthstone

“ As I grew up I discovered that the man was truly my father. He told me everything about my mother and I asked him why she dumped me and he said that I was a mistake, I wasn't suppose to be born. He said he had met my mother at the bar and they had a one night stand and she didn't know that she got pregnant that day ” “ He told me that since after that day he didn't see her again until after three months later when she discovered that she was pregnant. She came back and showed my father the pregnancy result and she said that she wanted to abort the child but my father didn't agree, he said he would take care of the child ” “ My mother disagreed but later on she accepted reality. Nine months

Gray jokes throwing a suit jacket on, I laugh too but then the crash comes to mind once again. "Before all the drama with the butler, you told me you would tell me why the car accident wasn't an accident" I say looking over at him, the smile soon fades from his lips a sigh escaping it from it instead. "It was no accident, but to understand how I know it was not I need to tell a story, just so you know the background" he says sitting down on the bed, I slowly make my way over sitting beside him with my legs crossed "it's all due to my father, my father was not a very nice man, he would treat each person that he met as an inconvenience, even his family" he begins to tell me, this immediately m

Zeus - The Alpha of Hatred

Zeus - The Alpha of Hatred

It's true I didn't want to hear his story, but now, I couldn't quench the rising curiosity. "You know what, my father never loved me. He was the cruelest man I knew. If he loved anything that was his safe where he kept all his filthy money. But guess what," he straightened, putting his feet down, "that night he told me, the son he hated, to hide in his beloved safe, and I did." Then his face darkened. "I stayed there when that boy tore through the door and killed my father. Slit his throat right before he ripped his heart out. I stayed when he left, and my father's body rotted in his own blood the whole night. I stayed when men came and took him away." He got up, walking to the window and lo

“Opportunity.” I heard Hugo laugh with a grunt. “That's right, opportunity. Your parents really suck.” My head turned quickly and my eyes stared at him. “What do you mean?” Hugo glanced at me and grinned. “Your father hasn't told you that?” Of course he meant Father, not my real father or my dead adoptive father or anyone else, but Father. Before I could ask Father using our usual inner communication, he already whispered into my mind softly, “Let him tell the story, my dear. He was the one who confronted them face to face.”

SATOU, D.
The story was very detailed. It was good. I like how the author made it. It was like a professional estimated novel. Good for the readers who can understand better. Notw: I skipped the news and more. I scanned it. 10 for the scene. 8 for the dialogue. Over all almost 10.

The storyline is quite interesting, although we don't that need the news part so much. The dialogue and the scene is balanced, so far. I mean, it's like 50/50 if I may say. Overall, good. Can't wait for another chapter and cliffhanger 🙈

A Father Begging While His Son Bleeds

A Father Begging While His Son Bleeds

"I don't have time to get involved in your messy drama. You promised you'd help me, Wesley, so I'm taking you with me right now." The man who spoke was Bernard Hough, the father of my first love, Erika Hough. Back then, both Erika and I had our unavoidable reasons. I had been burdened by my family, while she bore the responsibility for her own. We were destined to be mere passing travelers in each other's lives. But Erika had been far more resolute than I had ever been. In her attempt to see me one last time, she ended up in a car accident and had not woken up since.
