The Beta and The Lost Heiress
Once again, I was in the waiting room, with no idea how my life had gotten so fucked up.
The light blue blazer I had on was now stained with mud and blood, but I didn’t care. I didn’t care about my ratty appearance, or how people kept their distance the moment they spotted me.
Dr. Trace was also the one treating the stranger, since the others were hesitant to work on him. Now, she stepped out of the room, pulling off her gloves.
“When you came in here with him, I believed you accidentally ran into him,” she said.
“I didn’t.” That’s the same thing I’ve been telling the other doctors too, but they wouldn’t believe me.
