Broken Illusions

Broken Illusions

A man placed his father’s shattered glasses into the archive. Every offering was encoded not as data—but as resonance. The root responded. It grew. Weeks passed. Lena stopped giving orders. She listened more. Watched. Let the new shape form without steering it. Jessica became the de facto lead scientist, developing “memory scaffolds”—frames people could use to hold onto pain without being consumed by it. Torin launched the “Echo Rings”—distributed libraries that acted like decentralized temples, where stories could be left anonymously and accessed only once. Eleni created the first “Still Zones”—sacred spaces with no light, no sound, only the pulse of what had come before. People went in to

Marked for Betrayal

Marked for Betrayal

Like echoes trying to decide which sound was real. And then— I whispered, “Protocol Null.” She didn’t flinch. She smiled. And said: “Overwritten.” Then she punched me square in the ribs. I stumbled. She lunged— And then froze. Because from the other end of the hall… Echo stood. Eyes wide. Hands trembling. And for the first time, crying. “I don’t want this,” Echo whispered. “I don’t want to be like you.” AE7 looked at her. Something in her shifted.

The Moon Choose Him, I Didn´t

The Moon Choose Him, I Didn´t

The First Heir whispered only one word. “Echoes.” (Adrian’s POV) No. Not yet. She shouldn’t hear them yet. The Echoes only appear when the heir reaches critical fracture instability. And if the Echoes awaken fully— the previous lives begin bleeding together. (Aria’s POV) Memories slammed into me violently. Not one life. Many. Too many. Silver eyes. Different faces. Different names. But always the same ending. Love. An Alpha. Blood. Death. I fell to my knees screaming.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Nobody spoke. Because nobody knew what to say. Then the duplicate smiled sadly. Then: "The city collected me." Pause. Then: "As it collects all echoes." Then suddenly— another voice echoed through the street. Then another. Then another. The group turned. And froze. More figures were appearing. Dozens. Hundreds. Emerging from the shadows. Different people. Different versions. Different possibilities. A version of Ava. A version of Rowan. A version of Cassian. Countless echoes. Countless lives that never happened.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Echoes of His Heart

Echoes of His Heart

When I woke up again, I found myself lying in an unfamiliar room. The lights were off. Only the cold moonlight streaming through the window illuminated the blurry figure sitting beside the bed. It was Silas. He sat on the carpet with his back against the bedframe, looking strangely lonely. [Why isn't she awake yet? The doctor said it was only emotional stress combined with low blood sugar, so why has she been unconscious this long? This is all my fault. I never should've let her meet Eve.]

No Echoes After Midnight

No Echoes After Midnight

When loving words rot, they become ghost stories. After they left, my low fever would not go away. I forced myself to edit a clarification post of more than a thousand words. Just as I was about to publish it, I suddenly received a message from Caleb. He sent me a pregnancy report. Marissa Cole was pregnant. [Mr. Miles, I can live without a title, but the baby cannot. Please, let us be together.] I stared at the phone screen until a bitter, metallic taste rose in my throat. I replied with four words: [Congratulations to you both.]

Lycan King's Broken Mate: She Has A Baby?

Lycan King's Broken Mate: She Has A Baby?

With a heavy heart, she left the room, closing the door behind her, the echoes of Echo's cries reverberating in her ears. With each step she took, the echoes of Echo's cries seemed to diminish, drowned out by the harsh reality of their existence. Faith's resolve hardened, a flicker of determination burning within her. She would endure, for Echo's sake. And as she walked down the dimly lit hallway, she clung to the hope that one day, their cries would be replaced by laughter, their tears replaced by joy.

Echo of Love

Echo of Love

Her heart panicked a little and she called her friend Kim, who introduced the person. “Kim, I am not able to get through the reporter whom you introduced. I tried calling him many times but still, he is not reachable.” Lake asked her in a nervous voice. “Hasn’t he done his work appropriately, I saw the news. Didn’t you want things in this manner or is he done something wrong? Listen Lake it’s not good for us if you try to get in touch with him openly. What if somebody gets to know about this? He must be hiding because of this reason only. We all know touching the untouchable is a kind of sin and a major threat to life.” Kim replied calmly.

It wouldn’t heal anything too major but would do the trick for the moment before we got her back to the hospital. “I saw a pup come out here, chasing a ball, and I followed to make sure he didn’t get lost. I looked around but couldn’t find him. It took me a moment to realize that I wasn’t alone. Someone stepped out from the shadows. They had something in their hands that emitted this weird noise. It was a loop of three or four notes. I tried to move but was frozen. I couldn’t even mindlink anyone. They were wearing a hood with dark glasses on their face. Nothing was said as they sliced into my side. Then they turned around and walked off as if they didn’t have a care in the world.”

I'm really enjoying this book. mainly because the FL is a bad ass. even when things are bad for her ,she doesn't give up, she's not a doormat. Also while Dane's a ass, and his revenge is misplaced, is not cruel just for the sake of it. In most books the fl suffers cruelty that is sometimes...
