The life I wished for

The life I wished for

It was like putting the dirt right back on me. With me being 5, I still wasn't great at doing things by my self. I think Anthony knew this though, because he had a older lady show me how to do things. She said her name was Maria. She was 78 years old, and had been taking care of Anthony for the queen. She told me secrets I was not supposed to know. She said that there was a war that the king and queen started. They grew bored of it, so Anthony had to finish it. This war took place in 2101. It lasted one year. She said she wasn't born till after it happened, but her mother told her stories. "It was 181 years ago." Ms. Maria began to tell me as she helped me wash my body clean.

Author: Mark Boutros A man who's been carrying a secret for over 35 years decides it's time to tell his side of the story, but on confronting the dark summer that changed his life, he lets old demons back into his life with terrifying consequences. I’m finally going to share my story. I’m not even sure I want to, but I feel like I have to. I haven’t told anyone what happened for over thirty-five years. I was only fourteen and nothing made sense. I’m forty-nine now, and with all the time I’ve had to think, it still doesn’t make sense. I guess I hoped that by never talking about what happened that it might make it less real, or make the whole thing disappear.

At My 100th Life Before 18

At My 100th Life Before 18

"Please let me be in a modern world again.' Those were my last thoughts as I slumped on my already burn out bed and breathed my last. That was how my 99th lifetime in my eighteenth birthday ended on April 22nd. 'Happy Birthday to me.' Note my sarcasm to that. When I opened my eyes again, I reincarnated once again for my new 100th life.

Alpha Atlas

Alpha Atlas

“I think I struggle most with not aging. I won’t see my parents again. A hundred years from now, maybe even a thousand—I’ll still be here, just like this.” The unspoken words between us lingered in the air, sucking the oxygen from the suspended flames. I would be unchanged, exactly the same as I am in one hundred years, but Atlas wouldn’t. How could I find the potential for the greatest love, only to part with it? It didn’t seem fair to me, that I would endure countless lifetimes without him—without what this could’ve been. The thought made me feel utterly ridiculous. How could I hold his mistakes against him when we had such limited time together? The very thought made my heart squeeze so p

I normally don't write comments but I need to tell you that I wait everyday for more chapters. your writing makes me feel like I'm the one experiencing this first hand and I'm always begging for more. so beautifully written and I love every minute of it. if I could I'd give this book a million stars

This book was slow at first and filled with a lot of pain, but I find myself being a sucker for the wounded girl who becomes a strong, badass fighter. While I'm still clamoring for more of the raw, love/hate relationship in this book, I am enjoying the determination of the strong female protagonist.

It was Francine. I gave a nod but tried to maintain a stern face. Alex ran to me and asked, "So are we riding an airplane? " "Yes we are little boy." I said smirking at him and messing up his hair. The sound of horns from the taxi signaled that we were all about to have a major change in our lives. I am Attorney Providence Dalton. Provi to my my closest friends.. Atty. A Lifetime Misplaced

Before I could think it through, he took me to the office and called my father. No matter how hard I tried to explain, Mr. Whitaker refused to believe me. Even the other teachers in the office took his side, lecturing me one after another. Eventually, I stopped talking altogether and stood there waiting for my father to arrive. I knew there was no way I was escaping a beating. Despite that, I was happy. At least, he was still healthy enough to beat me. In my previous life, during the twentieth year of my marriage to Avery, my parents went hiking and supposedly slipped and fell to their deaths.

Reborn Wife: No Mercy for His True Love

Reborn Wife: No Mercy for His True Love

Leah said, "It's not Raelynn's fault. It's my own fault for not holding onto it properly." Upon seeing Leah trying to frame me yet again, I remembered that she had pulled this exact trick in my past life—except back then, she was even more ruthless. She had deliberately broken her own leg just to pin the blame on me and win over my family's sympathy. I knew for a fact that she wasn't someone with a terminal illness who was about to die at all; in my past life, she had lived happily with Holden in the northwest region. I wasn't going to hold back in this life, though. I instantly raised my hand, slapping her hard across the face.

The War Ended, My Life Began

The War Ended, My Life Began

Seven years passed. I had taken Sebastian’s advice and enrolled at Columbia Business School. I studied hard, graduating at the top of my class. With Sebastian’s help and the knowledge I had from my last life, I started my own import-export business. I worked long hours, I made tough decisions, I built my empire brick by brick. By 1952, my company was one of the most successful in New York. In my last life, I had always wanted to start my own business.

I don't think I can finish reading this because these mistakes are so bad & stupid. Brooklyn is part of NYC, it's not a tiny town. And even in 1945, you can't get into Vassar with somebody else's acceptance letter unless you also steal their identity. She could enroll even without the letter.
Terri Lucas
I enjoyed the story as it is different from others of this ilk. Just keep in mind that her rebirth starts in 1945, the next year the writer mentions is 1952,..and the reader is left adrift after that....
