Novel & Cerita Stranger Things Snowball Dance

SLOANE By the second week of December, Eastlake High had discovered the concept of a Winter Formal and immediately devolved into a glitter-laced hostage situation. The hallways were suffocating under a blanket of silver snowflakes, blue streamers, and posters advertising *MIDNIGHT FROST* in curling white script. It looked less like a dance invitation and more like a high-budget deodorant commercial. Someone had wrapped the athletic trophy case in fake plastic icicles. Someone else had arranged battery-operated candles around the front office until Mrs. Keller from attendance nearly had a coronary, shouting, “Absolutely not! This is an educational institution, not a séance.”

I muttered, leaning closer to her. “That’s what he told me too,” she replied, clearly unimpressed by the swelling crowd. I started to feel scared. If Demetri ever found out I’d been here at a party filled with strangers, men, no less—I’d never hear the end of it. “Don’t stress, Snow. Demetri’s not going to find out. Relax. Come on, dance with me!” she beamed, tugging at my wrist. “I thought you hated big crowds like this?”

I stand and walk away, my mood improving after the feel of his lips on mine. ***** The Winter Dance comes every year after classes are over. It's the time to celebrate that we finally have our vacations and when new romances spring. When the snow king and queen get selected. The school is slowly becoming this enchanted ice castle. All the clubs are involved in the decorations and in organizing the festivity. Christmas trees are almost on every corner. Lights of white and blue colors cover the ceiling. There are white garlands on the walls.

His eyes brought back all those memories she thought she had already forgotten— her past which she didn't have the strength to tell Aidan. “Just one night, Autumn. We just have to dance. Our customers won’t be able to recognize us because we’re wearing masks. It's up to you whether you want to be fucked or not,” Snow, her best friend, told her. Snow already has her make-up on and her black lingerie. Her lips were so red as if she had really prepared for this night.

“ Now that the kids have gone to bed, let’s have some fun. I have a good friend who made a request. Normally we don’t do that but it was so simple and she is too hard to resist. All she wanted was something to dance to. My girl Songbird is going to help me make that happen.” The music starts and I Speed says “ Fake ID? Really?” Merigold nods and says as well as signs “ And you are going to dance with me.” Speed signs “ I don’t dance.” Ratchet looks at her like she has lost her mind and signs something. Merigold says “ Blow smoke up someone else's ass.You are coming.” Speed takes Merigold’s hand and Ratchet has the other. “ If I step on your feet you only have yourself to blame.

Noah kept giving her a hard time about talking to Azeph while Will was trying to play peace maker. Louis pretended not to notice anything while Azeph was acting as if nothing happened. Greeting her every day and talking to her like normal. She felt like she was the only awkward one, "I heard that they will be chosing the closing ball dancers tomorrow," Daisy said "What's that?" Elinor asked, "It's the last dance of the winter ball. A special waltz that gets to be danced by a couple chosn by the whole school voting," Stella explained, " Interesting. Do people vote about a particular couple?" Elin asked

I went deep into my closet to find the best shirt I could find, before going for the doorknob and grabbed the damned tie. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TAYA's POV : I was just standing casually in the corner of the room. I took note of how the dance committee did a great job with this year's Winter Formal. They had fairy lights hanging all around, fake snow and mistletoes, and the stage resembled Elsa's ice castle from Frozen.

Remy: “Dance with me, storm queen.” We jump into the center. Seras and Lucian join. Kayo drags her date in. Even Rowan gets pulled onto the floor by Holly. We dance like the world ends at midnight (because once upon a time it almost did, and we never forgot how to celebrate surviving). Fake snow falls harder. Real stars outside the windows lean closer. And for one perfect night, we’re just seventeen. In love. Unstoppable. Unbreakable.

Behind her, Nives Solari didn't return to her laptop. She stood by the window, her fingers lightly pressing against the cool glass as she watched Asena walk through the dark corridor of the twenty-fourth floor, a slow, completely real smile finally breaking across the Ice Queen's lips.

Damian played a song on his phone. An old one. The one they first danced to. He held out his hand. Ava smiled. "Here?" Damian: "Yes. Here. Just us." They danced in the snow. Slowly. No music needed.
