Subway Stop For Short Novels & Stories

Daniel waves, ushering me to his car. “Where are we going?” I yawn. “Subway, just getting some real lunch” He smiles, pulling out of the schools parking lot. Subway is very close to our school so it took almost 5 minutes. “Hey man” Daniel says to the guy at the counter. He quickly orders for the both of us and we grab drinks. “Want to eat it at school or here?” He asks. “We can eat at school” I say, looking into Daniel’s eyes.

She realised that he was going towards Koreatown according to the GPS instructions. "Koreatown?" He hummed. Koreatown was a neighborhood in Los Angeles, mostly popular for karaeoke nights. "You really have planned something." Sebastian grinned, shaking his head. "It's nothing too fancy, but I hope you like it." After half an hour or so, they reached there. They stopped in front of an ice-cream shop. She looked at Sebastian who was nervously tapping at the steering wheel, the joyous mood had dropped and was replaced by something more serious. Then Sebastian spoke.

"Okay, but if I get mugged..." We leave the hotel and head toward a subway station down the block. Colt makes his way to one of the machines inside the stations, where we buy a Metro Card. Then we swipe it twice to pay for our fare and search for the train that will bring us closest to the theater. We're way in the ground now...and it kind of smells. Colt crinkles his nose as he looks down at the tracks. "You think there are any rats down there?" Suddenly the train arrives, blowing a gust of wind. We follow the many other passengers inside and manage to snag two seats near the window. Not that we'll be able to see much, since the subway is underground.

The train jolted into motion causing Kyle to temporarily lose his balance, though this did cause him to grip the silver bar. “More people are standing here than sitting. That’s just the way the subways are. People will filter out quickly and filter in even quicker.” Alessa explained. “Don’t they get tired? Standing for the duration of the train ride?” The train stopped. “Nope, we get off at this stop.” “We are already here?” Kyle said in awe. “No, we need to catch another train. This one will take us to Times Square.” She guided Kyle out using their linked hands as a backward leash.

Fortunately, I had already packed my essentials before, which makes it easy for me. I needed to hop on the subway, which would take approximately 30 minutes. The silver lining was that Miss Haze's apartment was conveniently located, just a short 5-minute walk from the nearest subway station. Nestled close to the bustling city center, it seemed like the perfect place to call home. Memories flashed through my mind as I recalled passing by that neighborhood once before, back when I had participated in a writing contest and claimed third place.

Director Choi returned the greeting by giving a business smile. Su Yeon came out of the mall and walked to the bus station. Since Central Mall is much far away from Song Empire and there is no cab available due to rush hour, she decided to take the subway. The nearest subway station is 10 minutes distance, so instead of walking, she chose to go by bus. While waiting for the bus, she remembered Ye Jin's message, so she replied, 'I am on my way to Song Empire. I'll reach in half-hour.'

"Mind your business." As the subway train screeched to a halt at their stop, the two young women eased their way through lingering passengers to the platform, trudged up the stairs to street level, then hurried across stopped traffic at the tailend of the pedestrian crossing to get to the grocery. "I'm still waiting to hear your third excuse for him," Lily prompted as they made their way the half block to Mercer's Grocery.

Jévon's POV The subway was oddly packed for 10:20 AM on a southbound F7. For later mornings, like today, crowds tended to be thin if not complete dead zones, ghouls included. They must have been leftovers from last night's football game, I reasoned, scooting over so an elderly satyress could sit.

he asked, watching her face closely. “All good,” she replied, slowing down at a light behind a group of people waiting to cross the road. The entrance to the subway station was on the other side of the road. Jacob noticed how she glanced at the light and then at the traffic as if hoping they could keep moving soon. Clearly, she didn’t want to stand around and talk about her family.

This was New York City at its finest. Sebastian averted his gaze back to the sight in front of him and drove continuously for about ten minutes before coming to a stop in front of Ava’s apartment. He watched on for a couple of minutes, trying to see if he was being watched but as the minutes rolled by, nothing happened. The street was mostly deserted except for a couple of times when a car would slow down and a boy would emerge from the shadows towards the driver's window. A short conversation would ensure that money and goods would change hands within the blink of an eye. Then the boy would retreat into the shadows and wait for the next car to pull up.
