[Sammy] “So let me get this straight,” Luis takes a large drink of his frothy IPA, the sides of the glass dripping with condensation as he sets it down on the table next to our basket of corn chips. “This goddess of a blonde comes up to YOU, you, Little Sammy Salazar, buys you a drink, drags you into a bathroom, and does wicked things to you in said bathroom for three hours and you didn’t even get her name?” he shakes his head in disbelief. “You’re cute and all but I call bullshit. Pure m****a. That’s like porn movie crap.”

I simply look around the space as if his anger doesn’t bother me. “I am the alpha of all dragons, Xander. Now you want to explain to me what you are doing here.” He growls. He still hasn’t relaxed although confusion has entered his eyes. Ceron comes forth and I can see that they are speaking. Even though he cannot feel the bond of his mate Cara, I hope that he will be on our side.

After hanging up, the man walked toward the sofa. Serena was reading a financial magazine and had just come across an article about X Group’s new hot spring resort opening on the outskirts of Vernon. Suddenly, a pair of slender arms wrapped around her neck from behind. She instinctively tilted her head and pointed at the page with a smile. “Xavier, your family opened a new hotel again?” “Yeah.” Xavier responded casually, then rested his chin on her shoulder. “I was just about to tell you.”

“Alright, do you want to watch a movie?” At first, I consider feigning exhaustion, but I quickly change my mind. There are still questions about the supernatural world swirling through my mind, and it would be nice to hang out with him. My brain shies away from calling this a date, even though my heart quakes at the thought. “Actually, I’d like to learn more about the Supernatural world─our world, if that’s okay?” Rowan shrugs his shoulders. “Yeah, sure. You know I have a book about supernaturals that this guy at a blood bank gave me when I was living in the streets. When I met Khail, he didn’t know what he was, so I lent it to him.”

I instructed, and they promptly left the room with Fred. Once Stella and her mate were on their way with Fred, I turned my attention back to Xander. His eyes still displayed a mix of anger and determination. I walked toward him, placing my hand on his arm, offering support and reassurance. “Aarya, I don’t understand. How does Chris Harris fit into all of this? How does he know about supernaturals, and why is he kidnapping them? And what about you? Why is he trying to kidnap you? Most importantly, how is he manipulating human DNA with witch DNA? What the hell is going on? How did he run away?” Xander rambled, his fingers running through his hair in frustration.
