Superpowers Novels & Stories

Maybe being a vampire would not be so bad after all, was what I thought until I was given my first training. ********** "As a vampire, there are special powers you should possess. Of course, we have had several cases where one of us didn't have any power at all, but that only happens if they were turned by weaklings," Matthew spoke as we stood outside in the woods. It seemed like it was a normal thing for supernaturals to have places like that close by. "But seeing as you were turned by our leader, we have high hopes for you." "There are four main powers you could have, strength, speed, resistance, and manipulation. Strength and speed are self-explanatory, resistant vampires are like shields

“So why are you unhappy?” She sighed, looking at my hands. “Do you know what the best superpower is?” “To be invisible.” She smiled. “No, it is to smile even when everything makes you cry. It’s to be happy in the saddest times. It’s to not have insecurities. That is the best superpower.” “Do you have it?” She shook her head. “No one has it.” I frowned. “Why?” “You’ll understand that when you grow up. It’s very rare.”

, he asks with shock evident in his tone. “My adoptive father is a cop. When we started getting close, he thought it would be important that I’d know how to protect myself”, I confess uncomfortably as I shrugged over it. “Didn’t think I’d ever need it though, but I enjoyed how the pullback used to feel”! “So what’s your superpower?”, he asks as he nudges me with his shoulder. “Healing”, I tell him! I want to heal everything and anything because I don’t want anyone to ever feel as broken as I do. “To be able to heal anyone of anything instantly! A broken leg, cancer, a broken heart”.

So much drama today. “Rexxx!” Julian shouted again. “Stop yelling my name! What now?” “What do you mean, ‘what now’?! Don’t you remember what you did hours ago?” “Oh, that?” I said nonchalantly. “Yes, that! That practically impossible thing!” I sighed. “I don’t know, Julian. I just woke up one day and realized I had these weird powers. I still haven’t figured out what they are or how to control them.” “So what you’re saying is… you have superpowers?!” His eyes sparkled like a kid at a candy store. “Damn, that’s so cool!”

he returns to the topic at hand, “tell me what these powers are again…” Bash and I explain his powers in colorful and sometimes overly theatrical ways as Bash acts out some of his greatest hits. I have to get him to pause right before he discusses what he did to Ash. "We don't need to tell him about every single time, Bash," I try to cover for him, but I can tell by Slate's expression that I'll need to explain more when we have a chance to be alone. Before exiting the car, Slate turns to the two of us, his hands extended. “Is this all of it,” he asks, carefully. “Bash has the power to read minds, sense danger, and occasionally knock someone out cold if he focuses his powers.”

he shouted. “I can’t! I’m trying but I can’t!” I shouted back. Suddenly, I felt really worn out and sore from the inside. I let go of myself and the whole thing stopped, including my own heartbeat. My dad took me to his lab and tended to me immediately in his own scientific way. He changed a little bit of me and inserted chips in my body that contained the strength and willpower to all those powers that I had. He made me a new person who could live with superpowers and learn how to control them. He made me a superhuman.

I knew it was a big decision to make, but as they explained when the time was right, I would know who would be deserving of the title. When training began, they pushed it over my limit, always telling me that I need to be ready for the toughest of choices from now on. Trying to master ten powers was difficult, they made sure of it. They explained that ever Moon Goddess has an eleventh power, no one knew what it was, but it would come to me at a time that was most needed. My powers varied in many areas: Water, earth, air, fire, teleportation, levitation, hypnosis, shape shifting, mind reading and finally healing.

"If that's the case, the world will turn into hell." Imagine if a person could control groups of super soldiers who had no self-awareness and no pain receptors. Imagine how terrifying the power that person would wield!

' Finally with a look of disgust, he broke his silence. "She's smart, but not thinking clearly. She has no idea what she is doing. There's a chance of her ending up anywhere.
