Romans & histoires Surface Book Performance Base

"Look at this. The engraving is shallow, and the edges are rough. This has been re-etched. And this RAM—the original uses low-profile custom sticks. These are standard ones, and they're already worn." He flipped one over. In the corner, there was a faint pencil mark. "Secondhand dealers use markings like this all the time," Dexter said grimly. He powered it on and ran a benchmark. The results began to pop up one after the other. The CPU performance sat at the lowest tier. The memory frequency did not match the specs. The SSD read and write speeds were only a third of what they should have been. Even the VRAM had been cut down to 4 GB.

I had met a lot of women, a whole lot and I could tell all they were thinking by just looking at them but Anna made it difficult. She made me look like an amateur in my game, taking the lead and leaving a great amount of pace behind. She was an open book that wasn't opened, you couldn't look beneath her surface. Her walls were too high that even when you thought you had, she had a way of taking you back to square one without mercy. Yet I wanted to know, I wanted her to take a page out of her playbook for once, needed to see behind her surface.

"They're used." He flipped one over. A faint pencil mark sat in the corner. "That's a common reseller mark." His voice got heavier. He powered the laptop on and started running benchmarks. Numbers filled the screen one after another. The CPU score was way below factory spec. The RAM speed didn't match the original setup. The SSD speeds were barely a third of what they should've been. And the GPU memory had been slashed to 4GB. My knees almost gave out. I grabbed the edge of the desk to keep myself upright.
