Susan stepped out of her apartment building into crisp morning air, phone balanced in her hand as her friends filled the screen, still buzzing from the night before.
“I swear,” Williams laughed, “I’ve replayed that slap in my head at least ten times.”
“You were ICONIC,” Avery added. “Do you know how long she’s needed that?”
Susan smiled, a little tired, but lighter than she had felt in years.
