I fly out of the bed and rush to the bathroom and retch acid runs up my throat, and nose, a shudder runs through me. “Fucking hell” I breathe, on my knees, eyes closed, I lean my head against the toilet, sucking in air through my mouth into my lungs. When the earth stops moving I open my eyes, get up, and hit flush. I stumble to the sink and run the water. Patting my damp cheeks, needing to get rid of the bile on my tongue. I suck in water, and gurgle it in my mouth before spitting it out, doing it several times until the bitter taste is gone from my tongue, then I squirt a large portion of paste and get to work on cleaning my mouth.

I didn't know if I'd be able to get it down without retching. "I mean, it's natural, right? It's our kryptonite. We're going to be averse to it. Maybe you can put it in a smoothie or something to help get it down. We didn't even have the option. They'd just whip us if we didn’t drink it or threw it up." Blake shrugged. I kicked the door shut and made it to the toilet just in time. I leaned over it and retched. My eyes sting with tears as my stomach emptied itself of the water and ginger cookies I had been nibbling all day.

As I made to put the toothbrush back in my mouth, a load of vomit pushed itself out of my throat and splattered on the mirror opposite me. "Oh, for shit sake." I exclaimed. I stared at the vomit, some of it dripping down the mirror and onto the sink. I considered smashing my head against the wall for a brief moment, but knew I would not go through with it. I let out an exasperated sigh, and fetched a bowl and cloth from the kitchen. Making a soapy water mixture like I did the day before, I dampened the cloth, and wiped the vomit of the the mirror and sink, before rinsing it down with fresh water from the tap.

She unlocked the door from the inside and opened it wide before stepping inside and she strolled around the place, looking for what to eat. She rummaged through the shelves and used her hand to push the things down before her eyes then fell on the canned foods at the other side. Hurrying to the place, she took one of them and placed the stick to lean against the shelf before wasting no time in pulling the lid backwards.
