Thank you all for reading my book. This is my second book on good novel and I hope you all enjoy it. 'Quagmire' is a romance novel which possesses a lot of twists, turns, complications but still enough romance to keep it interesting and thrilling. Through their journey, they found some of the endemic fauna of this swamp, which was large crocodiles with crystals growing over them, which Chaos caught and ate around, named Crystal Crocodiles. Their meat was mostly hard, but the crystals made it even harder and rather crunchy, Chaos found it an interesting snack. After they walked for around an hour or so, they saw a swampy area in front of them. The area was huge. Enormous bubbles appeared from the surface. Once they floated into the air, they burst into miasmas of unpleasant gas. James looked at the map again. The map recorded that this area is a dangerous one. The swampy area was filled with mystical power. Any living being who crossed the area will be absorbed by this power into its depths. “That’s it? It’s just a swamp.” “No,” Kael shook his head, turning the laptop so we could see the map. A vast, green expanse was highlighted in red. “It’s not just a swamp. It’s a massive, uninhabited wetland basin. According to these notes, it’s nearly impassable on foot. Toxic fumes in certain areas, unpredictable sinkholes, and a complete lack of solid ground for miles.” He zoomed in, showing a topographical map covered in swirling shades of blue and green. “There are no established settlements. No roads. The only way in or out is by air.”

The late afternoon sun blazed brutally overhead causing droplets of sweat to cascade down his forehead, hair spilling into his eyes. James crouched and stuck the sword of Achilles into the steamy ground. He reached up and swept back his medium-length dark hair out of his face and did his best to wipe the exertion from his brow. And here I thought the last few weeks were hot, he chided himself. The air was muggy and oppressive to the extreme, the humidity dense enough to slice through it like a warm stick of butter. He gripped the handle of the blade, slid it free from the ground, and took a deep breath. Ugh . . . tastes like swamp water.

"Why are we in a forest, Rain? This place is creepy! Argh! What is that?! Is that a frog?! Oh my God! I swear if that disgusting thing will come closer to me, that thing is dead! I swear! Ahh!
