Austin tightens his grip in my arm, pulling me into his side so he can whisper in my ear. "Just don't try anything stupid." I whisper back "Not like I can go anywhere is it, babe." Thinking back to my medals at home, I spent most of my childhood in the water, I've won countless awards for open water swimming, I only gave it up a couple of years ago when I become more interested in boys. for now. ****************** Kirou was currently nearing the outer edges of the swampland. Unlike when he first entered the swamp and killed all monsters that crossed his path, Kirou was doing his best to avoid combat whenever he met a monster he couldn't kill in a few hits. This was even more so when he ran into groups of monsters such as the giant poison frogs, swamp crocodile, and the swampland salamanders. Besides fighting, he also made it a point to collect any herbs he found interesting along the way. There were many herbs to be found in the swampland but only a select few caught Kirou's notice.

Swish! A series of wooden planks were thrown down, followed by Transcendent experts leaping toward the opposite side like fireflies. Soon, nearly two-thirds of them had crossed the swamp. However, just as the platoon was jumping over the swamp in full swing, a huge head suddenly sprung out from beneath the swamp. In the blink of an eye, it trapped a Transcendent master in its mouth, and then burrowed back under the surface. “What was that?” The sudden appearance of the monster had interrupted the pace of everyone present.

The deeper we went, the more the swamp seemed to breathe around us—whispers in the fog, the occasional ripple in the water when nothing should have been there. And then, it happened. At first there was a subtle shift in the murky waters. then a hulking mass heaved itself onto the shore—a monstrous thing, covered in glistening black mucus, its grotesque body pulsing as if it were breathing through its skin with disgustingly wet sounds.
