The blade gleamed under the weak light, sharp and merciless. Soren’s blood froze. “TRAVIAN!” he screamed, voice cracking. The knife arced through the air and slashed across Travian’s ribs, tearing fabric, spilling red. Travian staggered back, blood dripping in rivulets down his side. But instead of collapsing, he roared—a sound so primal it made the walls tremble. Someone teleports out of the blue, and Dawn immediately puts herself between the person and her pack members, growling lowly and crouching down, ready to strike.

In a day and age like this, it was hard enough to come by a weapon with even two attributes, let alone the Dawn of Gods. Everyone had just treated the Dawn of Gods as a myth too. Passing the thin sword around in his hands, Wilbur realized that this was the first weapon that he had given an attribute to. It deserved a name. A second later, he mumbled, "I'll call you the 'Dark Disperse', then." The name was comprehensive enough, and the sword itself was black in color. Wilbur felt like the name suited it pretty well and was even a little smug about it.

I need my sword. Reaching behind my back, I feel the cool, smooth texture of my marking shift beneath my fingers.
