Luna’s Replacement
Oh Goddess, if he knew how much I wanted to lose myself in those arms.
My stomach growled, pulling me from my fantasies and breaking the awkward silence between us. The blood flows to my cheek as I shyly approach the kitchen island to make myself a food plate. I add a slice of bread first and then tower brisket, bacon, cheese, a little bit of salad, jalapeno slices, and topping it off with another piece of bread.
Matthew stares at me the whole time, making my blood boil, but I do my best to ignore him. Sitting on the tall chair, I devour my sandwich, thinking what else I can eat next.
