Scarlett’s POV It was my first day at the office. The moment I stepped onto the first floor, the staff all stood up. "Good morning, ma'am," they greeted, heads hung down. “Set up a meeting with everyone, Gabriel,” I ordered. “Okay, ma’am,” he replied curtly, and we headed to my office. “Were you able to schedule a meeting with Mr. Aguas and the two other men?” I asked as we entered the elevator.

The man's face flushed with embarrassment as he quickly backed away, retreating to the back of the crowd. "Pregnant women are already prone to complications. If any of you are willing to take responsibility for her, I'll arrange a table right now," I said, scanning the room. When I met their eyes, they quickly looked away. I sneered internally. Just moments ago, they were all standing on their moral high ground. But as soon as they were asked to take responsibility, none of them dared to speak up. Just when I thought I had managed to avoid Zoey's miscarriage in my restaurant, Laurence suddenly shoved me.

“What idea?” The girls turned to Toya, who just smirked. “I was thinking, instead of having just your tablet, what if we had a table of five tablets? All with the same application and system to forward the emailed forms directly to Rowan.” She wiggled her dark brows. “It will go five times faster and honestly, we can streamline the whole process. That way, if there is a deadline for applications of a few hours…we can maximize the amount we can put in.”

Aberto in the group chat. As Kieran was used to handling a huge load of important affairs every day, understanding and sorting out a university assignment was a breeze for him. I didn’t go too deep, he’ll heal in seconds from what I’ve learned from Star.

Sarah's eyes flickered with panic, but she quickly put on a pitiful show. "What could I have done?" she said. "How can you humiliate me like this? My injuries were from my ex's abuse. I'm a wreck because of him, and you still don't trust me?" Linda finally recovered from the shock. She asked, "What's going on? How could Sarah have that disease? It's a death sentence." Then hopefully, she added, "This is easy to figure out. Get Johanna over and confront her."

I instruct. “What about the curtains or the cutlery?” “Um, we spent so much time looking at how the toilet flushes we barely had time to buy everything.” I exclaim. “But it flushes backwards.” He wonders. “Are you high, because I think you're high?” I say wearing a bored expression. “Here is what I am thinking. Blood streamed from her head, teeth scattered like pearls on the floor. Nathan's eyes were wild with fury. "You're nothing but a toy! Without us, you'd be dead in some orphanage.
