For a long moment, there was nothing, and then Rhett’s grip tightened on her hand almost painfully, as Talen’s skin seemed to ripple, the muscles below it to shift, and he went from standing to on all fours in a flow of motion that was nothing to do with a change of position, but entirely due to his body reforming into that position. Golden hair sprouted in a velvet-like pelt, and a tail pushed out from the end of his spine. His face flattened - the features rearranging in a way that blurred Aislen’s vision and made her stomach uneasy.
“Shit,” Cameron sat up. “That’s not any wolf that I know.”
