Sophie I was a fucking mess! The Uber ride home was blurry, the music from the party still ringing in my ears, but nothing could drown out the aching need between my legs. I’d spent the entire night thinking about him. Again. Like I always did. Kevin Randy. My stepfather. The man my mother somehow managed to marry eight months ago. Oh please… don’t judge me, he is so fucking hot! You’d fall for him too. By the time my friend dropped me off, the world was spinning. I barely made it through the front door before strong arms caught me.

My mate was getting married to my stepmother yet it was perfect. When I was done, all I wanted to do was leave. No, I didn't want to see my mate and stepmother say vows to each other. I was certain that I wouldn't be able to take that out of my head. The scene would plague me until the day that I die. Hence, I went home. Getting home, I decided to check on Dad when I heard voices. This time I didn't rush in, I listened to everything that he had to say. My eyes went wide when I realized it was Dad. It was my dad that wanted to kill Alexander back in his apartment.

He drawled, his eyes focused on me like he had met me before. “Since you have said yes already then I have to let the cat out of the bag. Just incase you want t change your mind.” He said and poured himself a glass of vodka.“I’m Talon’s stepfather, and last night's carnal encounter has bound us in more ways than one.” I blinked, to be sure I had misheard him. I knew there was something about him. Something that called to me. But now, even after finding out, I wanted to be on all fours so he could pleasure me.

“Tris—“ my mom’s yelling was cut short when the door finally opened. My breath caught in my throat when a very familiar man stepped out of the house. Was this the husband? My mom walked over to him with a big grin. “Tristan, this is Nicole, my daughter. Nikky, this is Tristan, your stepfather.” I blinked. That was my stepfather? The same man who had fucked me two months ago that I couldn’t seem to forget was my new stepfather??? Was this a joke?

But it was far from the simple, innocent connection I wanted it to be. He was my mate. The father of my unborn pup. But Alpha Lucien, my stepfather, the man who had claimed me as his own, had just seen us. The kiss. The undeniable spark between Kael and me. A shiver ran through every corner of my body, but it wasn’t from the chill in the air. It was the weight of what that moment meant. “Go to your apartment,” Kael’s voice was low, rough with urgency, as he stepped back from me.

My chest tightens. Home. My eyes widen. This cannot be my home. My home isn't this luxurious. My body sways as my bare feet find the floor. The cold tiles bite at my soles as I stagger to the door, my hands skimming the wall for balance. If my guess is right, then this is my stepfather’s house. Jace’s house. When I step into the hallway, the air smells… different. Lemon polish. Money. Silence layered over comfort. It clicks before I can stop it. The width of the hall. The giant paintings. The thick Persian rug under my toes.

Her eyes were a little too observant as she leaned closer and whispered, “You look pale. Are you okay?” I didn’t even know how to answer that. I gave her the best smile I could fake. “I’m good,” I said softly. “Just tired, maybe.” She gave me a look, like she didn’t quite believe it, but she didn’t press. Instead, she turned back toward the ceremony as the pastor cleared his throat and gestured toward Greg. Greg. My official stepfather now, I guess. He looked sharp in his fitted navy suit, hair neatly slicked back, and that perfect smile on his face as he lifted the veil from my mom’s face, leaned in, and kissed her.

He extended his slender arm, lifting her up. Suddenly, she found herself immersed in a embrace full of masculine charm, listening to the powerful and resolute heartbeat from Lorneauxs' chest, over and over again, as if enticing her. Unconsciously, a blush spread across Claire's cheeks. Clutching her small hands tightly, Claire closed her eyes in pain, making an effort to endure, so as not to lose control and grasp Lorneauxs' neck. He was her stepfather's son, her big brother; she couldn't cross that line.

She had no idea what to expect, and the anticipation was making her uneasy. A few moments later, she heard the sound of footsteps descending the stairs. Ginny looked up, and as Raymond turned the corner to face her, she froze in place. Her breath caught in her throat, and her mind went blank. Standing before her was the man from last night—the man who had turned her world upside down in the span of a few hours. The same piercing eyes, the same chiseled features... it was him. Ginny's heart plummeted into her stomach as the realization hit her like a freight train. Her mother’s new husband, her stepfather... was the man from her one-night stand.

From his silver-coloured eyes, I can see different emotions, from shock to lust. My mother, Naomi, looks at us confused, knowing that it's my first time between me and my proposed stepfather, or I'll say be obsessed CEO. "She's my secretary of the company I am managing currently", Lucas broke the unsettling silence between the trio. "That explains it. I'll call it a lucky coincidence between a boss and his employee getting new titles today." My mother exclaimed gracefully as she was completely ignorant of the behind the scenes between us. Come to think of it, how can someone whom I lustfully looked at and had an affair happen to be my stepfather? Is this fate trying to punish me for my high
