HIDDEN EDGES
There's a desk in front with a medium-sized shelf filled with lots of books and a beautiful terse lady, looking to be in her early fifties according to human age, sitting with a pair of reading glasses set atop the bridge of her nose, but her eyes are fixed on mine.
"Miss Jana Maynard," Zara says with a smile I thought she didn't have and walks towards the counter while I tail behind her, a little intimidated by this woman's stare.
"You sure do know how to ruin my peaceful afternoon, huh, Zara." She says, finally looking away from me and smiles at Zara. They seem to have a fond relationship.
