Mira. Sitting on the edge of her bed, wrapped in a blanket, her dark hair messy and damp, her skin pale but alive. She looked up...and when her eyes met Scarlet’s, her lips curved into a trembling smile. “Scarlet, you sound like you've been waiting for ages…” Mira’s voice was soft, almost breaking. She stood so fast the blanket slipped off her shoulders, and before Scarlet could move, Mira had crossed the room and thrown herself into her arms.

She raised a hand—and three of her mirror copies lunged forward. Carl intercepted one, blade humming. Ophelia ducked the second, slamming her palm against its head and activating her memory disruptor. Tobias scrambled for cover, launching a neuro-blast that flickered through the air like lightning. But Mira didn’t move. She just watched. And smiled. “You’re not ready for what’s coming,” she said. “None of you are.” Then her body turned to light—and vanished. The remaining mirror copies fell to the ground like broken puppets.

I gave her no chance. “Good luck with the preparations, Natalia,” I said quietly, letting my thumb brush the back of her hand before I released it. “I’ll be waiting to see the results.” Her lips curved into the faintest smile, soft and unguarded. She gave a small nod, as though to accept the strange tenderness I had just forced into the open, then turned back to her work. Only then did I turn my gaze on Mira. Her face was composed, too composed. But her eyes, those gave her away. Fury. Hurt. Jealousy she couldn’t swallow fast enough.

Her eyes were sharp enough to cut through pretense. She looked me over once, slowly, the way a healer examines a wound. “You walked,” she said. It wasn’t a question. “Yes.” “How far?” “Two days by wagon.” I swallowed. “The rest on foot.” She nodded once, filing that away. Her gaze dropped briefly to my stomach, then back to my face. It was subtle, but I noticed. “I’m Mira,” she said. “And you look like you’re about to fall over.” “I’m fine.”

Maria asked. "We make her life a living hell," Evelyn replied. "The 'Mirror Marriage' isn't working anymore because Pauline has broken the reflection. She thinks she’s special. We need to show her she’s not. We’ll find a way to make Ricardo see her as a traitor. If she won't leave quietly, we’ll make sure she leaves in disgrace. Without the baby." I waited until their footsteps faded away before I stepped out from behind the curtain. My heart was pounding, but my mind was strangely clear. I knew the truth now. The "Eye for an Eye" marriage was just a cover for a much bigger, older war.

When Nate pulled the SUV up to the executive trailer, Mira spotted her team getting out of the Jeep and a few other vehicles. “I’m going to get them started on taking photos,” she told Nate as they climbed out of his SUV. “I’ll be in the trailer,” he said in response before heading towards it. It was great to see Jenny, Hector, and the others. Mira smiled wide at the look of surprise on their faces as she made eye contact with each and every one of them. “You can see!” said Jenny, throwing her arms around Mira and giving her a big hug. Mira urged her back so she could look at her, then said, “I can. One eye, but it’s better than nothing.”

He was just a man, terrified of losing someone else he couldn’t protect. Before I could say anything, he stiffened. “There,” he said. I followed his gaze. A black SUV pulled up beside the old fountain. The windows were tinted. The driver didn’t get out. The back door opened. Mira stepped out, dressed in all white like a war bride. No guards. No visible weapons. Just that same serene expression she always wore—like she was two moves ahead of everyone else. But her eyes weren’t on Adrian. They were on me.

She slowly nodded, lowering her head. “Who is she?” Drago demanded. “She works at the house as Massimo said,” I answered. “Her name is Mira.” “And why…why is…she here?” he grimace. “Wh…what am I to d…do with a bloody ho…househelp?” “She is not just some househelp,” I said, glancing at the woman clinging to Dolcezza. “She is a Baldocchi Mole. She has been here for years now…” Both Drago and Massimo’s eyes widened in shock.

Tanya stopped what she was doing and looked at the mirror then something strange happened. Immediately she looked into the mirror and saw herself,she disappeared from the mirror. Tanya's eyes widened as she stared harder without her reflection showing. Tammie was also stunned. "Is this a magic mirror? Ah ah ah!!" She laughed nervously, hoping Tanya wouldn't suspect anything. Her reflection came back and a heavy headache greeted her skull. Tanya yelped out in pain and before she knew it,she collapsed. Tammie gasped. "Tanya? Tanya!!"

Naniya felt like she was looking at her accusingly. " I told you, little girl. You aren't a match for me at all. I'm Mira and I always get what I want, got that?" Mira whispered, standing at the front of Naniya as she played with her long, spooky fingers so others wouldn't notice she was talking to Naniya. When she was sure Naniya already heard all what she said, with a satisfactory smile, she walked on and purposely flaunted her hair which exposed her neck to Naniya's view.
