Tara Blakewood POV I went out to clear my mind and sort through my thoughts about my fiancé and our future. Yet, somehow, my mind kept drifting to a man completely different from him, my father’s friend. Within minutes, I arrived home. At the entrance, I bumped into my brother, Andreas, who still annoyed me with his childish antics. “My sister Tara, I missed you.” “I missed you too, Andreas.” I walked into the living room, greeted my father, and sat next to my mother.

They all asked me, Summer included. "Yeah, I went with my brother," I nodded. "Noah," Summer said in realization. "Noah Solano? He's your brother? I didn't know he had siblings," Westley commented. "We're step siblings. I moved in this past weekend," I found myself informing. "Well then, welcome to West Point Academy," Cash smiled.

My face falls as I remember all that has been going on in my life in the past months. “I've been great”, I lie. “You forgot I can hear your thoughts”, Tara says with a chuckle. Maddie and Anna exchange glances. I introduce my besties to my aunt, and vice versa. Maddie and Anna look shocked. “Did you say she's your mom's younger sister? She looks more like your elder sister. You guys look so alike”, Maddie says.

"Filet mignon, twice baked potatoes, sautéed green beans. But I forgot to get the filet, the potatoes went bad, and the green beans smell like farts." Tara laughed. "You kill me, dad. Burgers?" I sipped my beer. "Burgers." Tara is a schoolteacher. She's married to Rob. I don't know why. Tara is vibrant, funny, daring. Rob is one-dimensional on a good day. But it works and I don't ask. Her twin brother, Tanner lives out in Texas with his spark plug of a wife. I like her, she lights up any room she enters.

This tiny drop of bitchiness momentarily quenches my fearful thirst for reassurance that we’ll be sisters again someday. The catch here is, I didn’t tell Owen she might join us. “Pardon me,” he says. “I say this with the utmost respect to you as my sister-in-law and as a member of this court but with your history—” “You’re talking about the weird spell they put on you,” Tara interrupts him confidently. “I know more about Norse lore than you do, and I’ve been researching nonstop since eleven this morning. Trey walked towards us with a blank expression but a burning gaze as he faced his brother. “Don’t act up in front of our sister.” He held Dorian’s wrist tight, trying to lower the gun but Dorian remained unmovable. “Sister?” Dorian frowned. “Since when did we have a sister?” Trey rolled his eyes. “Well dad finally found true love and the woman has a daughter.” I guess this was new info to him although he didn’t show it on his face, he moved away slapping his brother’s arm away and turned to me. “Don’t you ever come in here or touch my stuff, otherwise bullets will end up in you.”
