I just smiled at him sadly because I feel so tired right now that I can't even move my lips. "It's time, they're all gone," Kendrick said in a voice full of hope. Maybe if there's anything good had happened to me in this place for almost a year, it's probably meeting Kendrick. He's kind and caring to me, that I can't help but wonder if he's Benjie's legitimate son. Kendrick always gives me water and food secretly, he also helps me escape this place but all of our plans didn't work out. Sometimes I can't help but feel sorry for Kendrick, he's only fourteen and he was surrounded by barbaric murderers, though they like to call themselves werewolf hunters.

The name sounds unfamiliar and my anxious thoughts race back into my mind. Before I can say anything, he says, “Don’t worry, she is trustworthy.” I am not completely convinced, but I nod anyway. After getting changed, Isaac informs me that he will be patrolling the west borders and coming back late. “Take some time out and meet the pack. They are eager to speak with you.” “Really?” I am surprised because, after the last day’s showdown, I wasn’t sure of how I would be treated. Although none of them appeared hostile, who knows?

He says eventually, noises behind him reveal the blonde girl that Flame was arguing with earlier. “Oh please be Darius’ friend.” She grins, pushing the boy out of the way and extending her hand. “I’m Gale. Gale Winters.” “Cain Harden.” I shake her hand quickly before dropping it and turning to the boy again, attempting to be pleasant when I just want him to get the fuck out of my way. “Darius told me we were going Tree Surfing.”

Chapter 24 Avery woke me up at 5:00Am this morning so that we could leave to meet Sierra and Daniel in Hawaii. This time I said goodbye to my parents before I left of course Dwayne warned me to be careful that Avery can't be trusted. The problem with Avery is constant drug use; it's like he can't breathe without snorting up. Part of me wants to save him while the other part of me wants to run and never look back. This also saved him from the Nero family. Because he was an easy informant, Zachary Nero was left to watch him until Jason's final decision on what to do with him. Most of his information comes from his two known cousins, Trent and the other referred to as a lunatic. Travis gives out the information about Charles's outpost to save his own life.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

I replayed Cassidy’s hastily given instructions in my head and said, “…the woods, to some guy’s camper.” “Oh, you are?” Holly’s eyes instantly perked up and for the second time her grilled cheese sat forgotten. “I had a dream about a camper just last night! It has to be for you, I can feel it.” “You didn’t tell me about that dream.” Tristan pointed out, his lips tilting downward.

Charlie nodded and said, “Yes, I will go if there is a chance in the future.” Then, he asked, “Oh yes, Mr. Lane, I would like to know if Harvey Carter, my good friend from the orphanage, is working as your assistant now? Is he here today?” Travis nodded and said, “Yes, he is my full-time driver now. That young man is very reliable and trustworthy, I want to thank Master Wade for introducing such an honest man to me!” As the richest man in Lancaster, Travis really lived up to his reputation. His selection of words and method of speaking was very technical and diplomatic.
